Which Car Would You Buy? (Of These 2 ONLY)
srt cause i killed an evo with a $100 mod
no but seriously.. if performance wasnt everything id go with the rsx.. ive owned an srt and driven an rsx... rsx was more solid and sturdy yet doesnt TOUCH the srt's performance and 3rd gear pull... but with only 2 mods i was trapping 110mph at the track in my srt. so like i said.... ***** out horsepower srt-4 without a doubt.. appeal and drivability and comfort... rsx 100% hands down.
btw... u can say u refuse to drive a neon all u want... but its sad your only saying that cause u cant be man enough to take the heat from people

I would take the RSX, better build quality and a DD plus I like the ability to rev the **** outa it forever. I also already have an Evo and if you ever drive a FF Turbo it sucks monkey ****. There is also something to be said for the N/A power output on these things and minor boltons and then a Honda Data Tue would be fun IMHO.
It would also hold it's value much better, the cockpit orientation is much better, it looks better especially in EB Blue, less maintenance, etc....
Now if I just had to get ONE car, I would be more inclined to lean towards the Neon.

For me, RSX, no question. I don't like the looks or the *attitude* associated with the SRT4. On top of that I will never own a domestic vehicle. Build quality blows almost across the board when compared to most european and japanese manufacturers.
Neon =/> Lancer?
They did get DOHC... explain yourself anyways.
My car turboed & AWD would be the car i would drive for the next 10 years.
Its down right gorgeous, look better then damn evo. (yeah, i said it!!!)

I know several evo owners with the same "attitude." I would get the RSX for daily, but for track use...NEON FTW. Not sure why people talk down to SRT4 owner.."It is just a neon." Well the same can be said about our cars..."it's just a lancer."
Stock for stock I'd take the SRT-4. Saying "well I'd turbo the RSX" isn't really far since a turbo kit would cost what, 5000$ with supporting mods and such? Dump 5000$ into the SRT and you could have power windows front and back (cause I know people gripe about that), you could redo the interior, you could go on a rampage on the engine and suspension and end up with a really mean street car. Sure it doesn't have the build quality or the resale value of a honda or an acura, but lets be realistic, we drive mitsubishis, we should be the last people to b!tch about build quality and resale value (I know everyone here has at least one annoying squeak in their dash).
Wow. Some people have no idea what they are talking about. The SRT is a fun car n all...but lets face it, its not as nice of a car as an RSX
The K20 motor is quite possibly one of the best 4cyl N/A motors ever made. Build the bottom end of that 2.4 in the Neon, and build the bottom end of the K20, and go big turbo on each, and on race gas and a good tune youll make more power on the k20. Throw a K24 bottom end with a K20 head on it with cams, tuning, big turbo and you can easily make 700whp....just look at peakboosts Honda Fit with the K24r in it, GT35r turbo....and its making an easy 700hp.
The aftermarket will never be as big for the Srt as it is for the Honda/Acura crowd.
If your going to do lots of racing though, and tearing up of the car better to just get the cheaper, more worthless Srt..

Be realistic, how many people are going to want a 700 hp FWD car? I don't know why so many evo guys hate the SRT-4, sure it's not pretty and it doesn't have the grace or the finesse of other cars, but it gets the job done (sound familiar?).

I imagine most people on here bought the EVO because of its performance and overlooked the interior, econo car roots and Mitsu name plate. I just can't see the logic in EVO owners telling someone to a get a slower car because of build quality and interior.
