what mods do you have? I know for a fact that the 06-07 wrx with a TBE, K&N air filter and a tune can run low 13's high 12's. I know it will not make 300whp on a stock turbo, but with the vf39 will make about 300whp with 360 tq. I know you can get a TBE, K&N, vf39, STI TMIC and tune for about 2000 bucks.

Compared to the 02'-03' wrx's transmission it is alot stronger.

one of my friends has a 06 WRX TR and had it protuned with aCOBB accessport and made 224hp and 276TQ on 93 pump gas. On 100 oct he dyno'd 230hp and 294TQ
go to the following link to see the thread
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1200941

and thats on a 100% stock WRX TR the only mod is the Accessport

I saw a brand new 07 STI the other day when i was installing my intercooler and o2 housing...

73 miles at the clock if i remember correctly and on the dyno i think it saw around 245whp/245trq. However they guys at the shop including the shop and impreza onwer said that this STI was probably flashed or something because they usually see 10-15whp less on these cars...

The 235-245whp is the power figure that the IX MRs see on that particular dyno...

To tell you the truth not impressed at all. Didn't like the torgue curve, especially because its a 2.5 liter. I was expecting it to do much better...

Well what do you expect, its a bone stock TR. No car wont make crazy amounts of hp and tq in its stock form because of all the restrictions do to the intake and exhaust system. Ask any tuner they will tell you the same thing, and also keep this in mind and STI and a WRX TR are not the same car. both are 2.5L's but the STI has the AVCS.

I believe the 2.5L on 2006 on up WRX's is also equipped with AVCS. I have a bussy at work who has an '06 and I remember asking him about this, and I also found this link.
