07 2.5 WRX = 300whp?

I dunno but i heard this from a friend that it is possible to make a WRX 2.5T have 300whp+ with just simple boltons and tune??

is that a fact or a false statement?

how fast do these guys run in a 1/4 anyways?

I think a stock wrx (not STi) is at 230 hp (not whp) from the factory. so um no with just bolt ons and a tune they would be nowhere near 300 whp more like 250 whp

It's true, the 06+ WRXs have the 2.5 litre engine, it's the same short block as the STi, it also has variable valve timing. The STi has different cam profile and I believe a better flowing head. The WRX with the STi VF39 turbo can make 300whp and 310-320wtq...this can be achieved with the stock injectors but it's recommended to upgrade to the STi intercooler. The new ones just make loads of torque from the increased displacement.

Can anyone say stroker kit

stis struggle to make 300 whp on mustang dynos on pump gas. i highly doubt a standard wrx will make near that considering the pea size turbo.

Who ever told you that the 06+ WRX 2.5L block is the same as the STI block does not know what they are talking about. The difference in the 2 blocks are the pistons. And I don't care how much power anyone can make out of a WRX it is still a SNAIL. I had about 15K in just power mods into my WRX and that includes a built STI engine. And how many WRX's that have a VF39 are making 300whp???? Not that many.... WRX=SNAIL

I don't know about all that for a WRX, but I did hear that those new WRXs and STis are crazy with bolt ons and a tune.
