Full race ran a ****ty time with a huge trap speed on street tires. They are a local shop, and people here have seen them run on drag radials and slicks. Trust me traction isint that much of an issue
Most people who buy AWD drive cars is because of its superior handling abilities around turns and not just straight line traction. With that being said, the more power the FWD has, the harder it is to get traction on a road coarse, and the less predictable it is. Which means slower lap times. Drag racing is fun, but road racing is on a completely different level. Not only do you need power, but you need handling, braking, and a ton of driver skill (not just reaction time).

and there are tons of fwd cars tearing up road courses too. AWD is good, but not the best.

Name one FWD car that will beat an EVO around a road course? Stock

And yes...AWD is the best around a road course, then RWD, and finally FWD (which is better then no-WD).

" k is the way "

If you have the money to spend get a K series , a built k series is always gonna make more than a B-series its a 2.0 L .

All motor K20A can make 230 whp on 91 octane with just intake / header / exhaust

My Built JDM B18C on race gas makes 230 whp

stoke it to 2.1 or bore it to 1.9 and you'd have similar results. the k-series are nice, but more $ and harder to work on.

man, if you want all-motor, the crower 2.3L stroker kit is worth looking into. it's what i ran with turbo, but i wish i would've kept it smaller since that motor put out so much torque boosted. i don't know haow you feel about crower, but it's top-notch and much cheaper than the toda kit.

My Civic with an internally stock 98 Spec JDM B18C engine and a Civic Type R tranny with a 4.785 FR ran 13.7 on radial tires.

With 75 shot NOS I used to mess around with stock 350Zs and Evos around Mayaguez area. Funny days!

Right now is getting a new clutch, suspension verification, P Steering and some tuning. I will throw another NOS kit or a turbo kit in the next year or so. Very fun car to drive!

its a drivers race. Ive seen good drivers in Mini Cooper S's destroy Evos on road courses around here. Ive also seen guys in mid 90's Neon ACR's hand a few Sti's and Evo's their asses at the track here as well.

Ive also seen guys in M3's, Corvettes, Viper ACR's, and lotus's destroy Sti's and Evos. Whats your next BS excuse......oh those cars cost more. Who gives a ****. They are rwd, and according to you, awd is supposed to be teh fastororz! around teh trackzorz!

Oh not to mention a few Hard top S2000's have put a hurting on some awd machines lately too.

If you have too much power, front wheel drive is useless. AWD is the best. Most of the fastest time attack cars in Japan and here in the U.S.A are AWD. Is that enough proof? You a fool by the way.

Actually hate to correct you again, but many forms of racing have RWD only formats. Also, have seen many of time attack cars that are rwd only.

AWD being the best is just an opinion. The fact is most forms of racing are dominated by RWD platforms.

But you seem to keep comparing the average guy, to the 700,000 race car. Which one is it? No there arent any F1 fwd cars...there arent any awd F1 cars either. i could be wrong on that, but I dont remember seeing any awd F1 cars either. They are all RWD. So whats your point?

However in the applications where there is fwd in racing, it is possible that fwd can beat, and often does. A awd vehicle.

Im a fool? Why because I can back my statements with fact, and you only have your incredibly jaded opinion?

K20 is probly the strongest motor honda has introduced. It's considered the new type R motor versus the rare B18C type R. The best thing about these motors is the amazing high compression and high revs. although many people do turbo applications they still make awesome all motor naturally aspirated beasts. IMO the best all around honda motor is the B18 because of it's simplicity to work on and build... plus you can't beat the reliability... the engine with the most torque is far the H22... in my EG i have the H22/H23 2.3L with full moroso suspension and at the track it is a monster all motor.... 13.3 quarter but could be better... i didn't really like the driveabilty of it since i had no A/C or power steering so i wanted something new and little more reliable but would also eat everything on the street..... so of course i had to get what every boy dreams of.....an EVO

LOL...you have no idea what you are talking about. You need to review all the SCCA and IMSA races where there are both AWD and RWD racing in the same catalogue. The AWD hands down dominate. FWD is not even in the equation. The only comparison that matters is with the drivers that can drive and not the rookies.
