AWD being the best is just an opinion. The fact is most forms of racing are dominated by RWD platforms.

But you seem to keep comparing the average guy, to the 700,000 race car. Which one is it? No there arent any F1 fwd cars...there arent any awd F1 cars either. i could be wrong on that, but I dont remember seeing any awd F1 cars either. They are all RWD. So whats your point?

However in the applications where there is fwd in racing, it is possible that fwd can beat, and often does. A awd vehicle.

Im a fool? Why because I can back my statements with fact, and you only have your incredibly jaded opinion?
If an F1 car has AWD, has the same wheel horsepower, and weighs the same as a modern F1 car, it will be faster. Use some common sense and logic to figure out what is faster and you will come to a shattering realization that you are wrong.

My other car was an EK 97 Civic hatch, it is very slow stock now...even felt slower after driving my IX MR. I was seriously consider doing an K20 swap from an RSX type S.

The new K-series engine are no joke.... I have seen friends w/ the EG(92-95) or EK(96-00) hatch w/ k20 swap, all motor w/ few bolt-ons and runs high 12's on the 1/4 mile all day.
BTW I used to own a few JDM'ed EG hatches w/ B-series swaps before letting them go for my EVO MR.

I'd have to say mid engine rwd is probly better than front engine awd.

Now mid engine awd would be the best, but other than a Veyron, I cant think of any that exist.

*edit*

Lambo's too..

Although the handling doesn't do much to back up my point..

A fully race prepped one would be awesome, but finding someone willing to do that to a Lambo is another issue..

Yup the k20 has to be the best motor these days. I have a ek9 w/my rare mugen mf10L mirror face rims still in mint condition just begging to be swapped. I've been contemplating getting a k20 from hmomotors, they're going for 4k now. But oh well, attempting 2 project cars at once can take a toll on your wallet haha.

Your a complete buffoon. You keep making posts with heresy and conjecture, but no actual facts.

IF IF IF IF IF thats all you post. An f1 car weighs like 1500lbs. Explain to me how f1 race car designers are going to defy the laws of physics, and design an F1 car with more whp, with awd, and that weighs the same? The entire car is made of CF as it is. I suppose you possess some knowledge of automobile engineering which is greater than that of the people designing F1 cars now adays. Thats why your here on EvoM typing nonsensical BS, almost every time you post something.

So stop being a freaking idiot. If AWD was the uber higher technology, top fuel cars would use it, F1 would use it, every car manufacturer would use it, every race team in the world would use it. Every car Ferrari or Porsche made would have it, or Aston Martin, or Bentely, or every other car manufacturer that has a factory involvement in racing.

Having Awd is an advantage up to a point, but often times awd cars are just out performed by lighter cars that are 2wd biased.

Even when HKS had their time attack evo. They had to counteract the weight of the AWD, by making a fully custom dry carbon fiber body to drop the weight back down.

Now. Come to the shattering realization that you have no idea wtf your talking about. Come up with something other than IF's, or just be quiet.

Its actually not a K20 with an F series head. Spoon uses a K20 block with a modified K20 head, and F22 pistons. Together it makes like 11:5.1 compression or something like that, and its reasonably cheap.

Heres the link.
