as for the make up of an m3 being different from a 335i your right, the 335i is better

nevermind i see what you were talking about....
have you driven a new M3? I didnt think so. Dont make ridiculous claims about the performance capabilities of cars that arent even being made yet, and that you have never driven. The new M3 has a completely differenst suspension, I thought BMW also reworked the chassis on their M cars, and it's lighter, less top heavy via the cf roof, and will definitly out handle the 335i which form what I hear floats down the street.

I'd still take the M3 over a modded 335i, even if the 335i is faster.

At the end of the day, the M3 will still have better handling, a responsive and revvy (I'm guessing) engine and not to mention a factory warranty that will be 100% intact.

B5 S4's definately do not make 380WHP just tuned That takes full bolt ons and K04 turbos to make that kinda power. The stock K03 can output 380AWTQ but is damn near impossible to get 380WHP. Sorry just had to clear that up.

whoa whoa whoa.... i was not talking about a "new" m3... of course i never drove one! i was talking about an e46 m3!!!! no one said anything about a new m3????

with that said, i still stick with my initial remark that the 335 is a better car than the e46 m3... if you want to jump all over me for thinking that than go ahead. imho it is better in many ways

i drive these cars all day long... so now to jump your throat how could you repeat "it floats down the street" if you never drove one???

and yes the e92 m3 is totally reworked and gonna be an awsome car

Elaborate.

By the way, I prefer the M3.

mind you all this is opinion (may be fact)

1) i feel the n54 is a better motor than the s54 (more torque)
2) i think it handles better ( i know that is going out on a limb) purley feel im shure it can not, out "handle" the m3
3) it sounds a million times better
4)better displays and interior

i could go on for ever, i just like that car more, its built on an e9x chasis! this mini debate is all kinda erelevant anyway because the e92 m3 will be out real soon win my heart over and then end of story

Well you stated S4 not "RS4". I kinda figured you meant RS4 though.

Your right I def messed that one up, I think you are correct though the RS4's had the k04's and different intercoolers and minor other things, regardless any twin turbo V6 is gunna be a fun ride!!!

It's tempting for me, but I promise I would never mod my 335i, however, I'm close to breaking that promise, lol.

Oh its just a tune and you'll stop there, dont worry On another note S4's with a RS4 setup are crazy, I have seen a couple with close to 450AWTQ on pump, those 2.7L with KO4's are amazing. With all that torque they dont even feel like a 3500lb car.

I'd choose the M3 over the 335i...However, it'd suck to see one 'floating' past me on the highway...hahah

CF Roof???? They made like a handful of CSLs that had CF roof, no stereo, no AC, etc. That's not really a fair comparison.

I would love to see a 335 VS an E46 M3. Im betting it would be a very close race.

a tuned 335 would kill a stock e46 m3, comp. package or not!

CSL is not the comp package, you cannot even purchase CSL's in the US.
