335i Vishnu

While running through the Vishnu website, I came across this: http://www.vishnutuning.com/bmw_zero.htm

The point of interest is: "Through precise and methodical calibration with the Vishnu PROcede computer, we are able to extract another 55-60whp and 70-80lbft of torque. These monstrous gains are achieved with only two more pounds of boost from the clever factory twin turbo set up."

Discuss.

Well see when you turn up boost and change ignition timing and fueling values you increase the power output of turbocharged cars dramatically.

335i's are supposedly detuned from the factory so they don't trounce the new M3 when it comes out. So far they've been making great gains across the board with just tuning.

Every car is detuned from the factory.

Correct. And the 335's respond to tuning like the B5 S4's. Imagine if those B5's were a couple hundred lbs lighter and rear wheel drive.

Not quite like the B5 S4's, they made 380whp off of a flash.

The new RS4 will be just fine in my opinion NoTec 420bhp and a much more rearwardly biased 4wd system, the weight however you cannot remove from german "sports" cars.

I wish they had put this engine in the M version of the Z4. I am not sure if I would still be driving an Evo if they had

that car is already a tire smoker w/ the measly torque #'s of the s54 if they had put and n54 (the 335 motor) in it would have been crazy and it would be faster than the current e46 m3 (wich there are still a couple on the lots) and cost alot!!! it wouldnt make those owners too happy. also that engine is not badged as an M or "s" motor therefore it can not go in an "M" car. that engine may end up in an "e85" z4 chasis if the new m3 v8 ends up in there also, then it can be badged as the new z4 si

^^Most people don't get BMWs do "smoke" others.

Besides, the makeup of a M3 is much different from the twin turbo 335i.

were you talking about me with the "smoke" quote??? if so i think you
mis-understood.

as for the make up of an m3 being different from a 335i your right, the 335i is better

nevermind i see what you were talking about....
