the new sti ain't all that great, and i'm not a big fan of the new X too, so i guess 06/07 would be the year for both cars

EVO owners have always been critical, guess it is our nature

Subaru owners are a bunch of unrealistic fan boys who say one thing and do another, they're not gonna buy this car and if the STI only comes in hatch it is a death sentence, hatchs have never did well in the USA except for a few exceptions the MINI and Volkswagen and even then VW sedans out sell VW hatches. I know many cars are going to hatches in WRC, but this isn't WRC, this is America, we don't like hatches.
