You guys have to understand that the people buying GT500's like a different kind of car than what the evo offers. I think most of them realize that the Shelby isnt going to handle an autocross like an evo...but none of them care. The Shelby is all about having a huge engine in a sweet looking car, haulin' a$$ with some babes in the back seats, and takin' out a few F-body's at the stoplight. Thats it. Its a muscle car, not a sports car. You try and talk with a regular GT500 owner about Nurburgring times and curb weights and all that, and he'll look at you like your from Mars.

I sold my Evo about a year ago to get on the list to get a GT500. Several no MSRP deals later I still have no car and will be probably this fall before I can get one at MSRP. I am a member at a couple of mustang sites and I love Top Gear and tried to have a discusion about how bad the car handles all they say is go get a tune and some mods and get more horsepower(complete tools). Most of the people buying these cars are only going to drag strips anyhow and paying about 10K over sticker right now. The GT500KR is going to be limited to 1000 cars all hardtops so I am sure they will cost over 100K to buy once the ADM is added.
