god those are alot of money..I have been thinking of getting a 03-04 cobra..those cars are pretty drama free as far as getting off the line, and alot of guys were getting stock dyno numbers of 430hp. add I-E-H, chip, and pulley you got 500+hp
I am still a DSM guy, but if its super/turbo charged.. i am all over it. I think alot of the guys on here are full of it when they say they can smoke cobra's ( must be a 02- or older) but every forum has their own perspective.

53k is a little much for a Mustang. i dont even think the gt500 is worth that, but Saleens look really nice. If Ford had that as an appearence package from the factory it could be had for maybe mid 30's to mid 40's.

Id love to have one of those body style Mustangs, but its not in the cards right now.

good choice as a replacement for the evo. a black one wouldve been sicker. it reminds me of Barricade from Transformers

 

i haven't read through the whole thread, but i can already see people badgering him about how little it would take for an evo to blow past his saleen and i think it's just sad. not everyone purchases a car with the intention of being the absolute fastest guy on the block. evos are amazing cars...i think 99.9% of us here on evoM realize that; but many of us also take the car for what it is and may have an equal or greater amount of respect for others cars with equally or less impressive performance numbers; modded or not.

seriously, the saleen is a beautiful car and a hella nice collectors item. congratulations on the purchase and best of luck with it...i'm sure you'll be turning quite a few heads with that machine.

 

hahha i agree with turbochrgdbeast. Love the car, i love my evo, but theres nothing like hte sound of a big displacement engine, especially when it gets to breathe. turning the ignition on a C6z06 is a whole different world from turning the key on the evos. I'm sure the saleen pony is the same. Goodluck on the car!!

Oh and i totally agree with the guy upstairs too ^ as a former evo owner I think he desires at least some respect out of the evo community to not be branded as a sellout or a traitor just because he enjoys a different kind of car.

I hope the engines are built better than the 01's were mine blew up twice in the period of two months and after i sold it I heard it blew again GOOD LUCK with it.
