Yep pretty sad... the only real lucky STI owners over here are the 2005-06 crowd I think. I was reading some really bad stories over on nastysack (nasioc.com) about how bad the factory ecu tune is on the 07's and all the motors that are blowing up. Then Subaru comes out with something like this, lol.

 

Yeah, I'm still not digging the new style. I'm a big fan of hatches too ... I don't see the new style growing on me like the Alpha grille on the '06/'07 did.

 

one of the new sedans came up on me the other day.. i thought it was a Kia for a second..

they are ugly..

they aren't 'sporty' at all..

 

I think the '04-'05 Sti was by far the best looking version they made for the US. The GC8 bodystyle was the best overall though.

I'm not feeling that wagon look. Wonder if they will have a sedan version.

 

I think this new STI looks indecisive, "Am I a hatchback? Am I a fastback? Am I a sedan with a really big trunk lid?"

It would look better, IMO, as either a sedan - as the new WRX, which I really like - or as a genuine hatch back with a more vertical rear glass and hatch door. Like say the MazdaSpeed3 or the Matrix, for example.

 

No STI sedan. Only sedan will be WRX. I think Subaru will sell far more WRX's that will be 'built' into STI wanna-bees. I predict the STI hatch back will not be a big seller in the US.

 

thats the base wrx body, sti looks way better with flared fenders

 

it's like some sort of egg from the future ....

sti's and evo's are meant to be boxy like thats it these are boxy cars the best imo is 04-05 sti's and 06 evo's as far as bodywise
