c'mon man don't be rediculous... do you have any idea how fast an 8.5 second car is? the guy clearly doesn't know what he is talking about.

did you point out that at that WEIGHT the 335i would need to be putting down nearly 800 rwhp to get into 8's. . .which is NOT possible on two puny little turbos!!

Now I can see the 335i being in 11 and 12's with power mods - but on a tune, high 12's are about right. . .remember it might have wicked power, but it's chunky too!

Yeah and traction is a HUGE issue. That's true, you'd need 800whp... lower the weight a TON... and THEN you have traction. Need to tub that thing
That'll be the day... a tubbed 335...

its obv a joke... He must have been mentally challenge. Some tuned 335s are putting down high 300s and with test pipes tune intake exhaust etc 400whp but other than that they can't even go single turbo conversion bc of the engine. Doubt any have dipped far into the 11s yet.

has anyone even upgraded the turbos on that car? I've been kinda waiting to see what a 335 could do with whatever GTxx can fit.

Here you go: http://www.vishnutuning.com/bmw_1_v380.htm

I'm surprised no one knows Vishnu. They've only been sponsors on evoM since forever (They were here when I joined in 03).

I don't think a 335 will EVER hit 8s in the quarter. And 6 months after its release, the fact that you even found the claim plausible enough to start a thread shocks me.

Available 335 packages: http://www.vishnutuning.com/bmw_335i.htm

The hp numbers are similar to the same stage EVO packages offered by Vishnu but with slower ETs--likely thanks to the 335 being relatively over-weight.

No I didn't believe him... at all! I started this thread just to see how far off he was and get some ammo for when I see him again. I dont know much about his car other than he keeps saying "300hp stock and +100 hp with tune" bla bla bla. He's my co-worker and he is always parking his car right next to mine. So it seems that the consensus is that the 335i hasn't passed into the 11s yet correct? I just want to call him out because ever since he got that car he's been acting real snobby and like a total d!ck. I used to think he was cool, but it's like he got that car just so he could talk smak!

vishnu's site claims with the stage 1 - 380-400hp..
cat-back and tune

and it does 0-60 @ 4.3
1/4 in 12.4

both estimates..

so high 11s should be possible.. with a great driver.. a TBE... good tires... a little less conservative tuning.. and a jenny craig package..
