I actually just ordered a 2008 335xi coupe, brand new model for the 2008 year, I should have it around haloweenish... I've owned a modded evo (obviously) and Ive driven 335s and the evo is faster, period. but its kind of like comparing apples and oranges. one is a rally car, the other is a sporty luxury car... but 335s are NOT the next srt thats just a dumb statement. The extra weight is what holds the 335 down, drop some weight tune and exhaust and the car is fast. but as far as this Dbag sayin 8s... hes drunk.

 

Actually I think that the 335 is the opposite of a SRT4. Their only thing in common is FI.

 

That is the worst analogy I ever heard in my life. I really don't see any similarities at all.

Er...Carlos, I'm confused. You said that the 335i smokes the 911 Turbo??? The links that you provided show that the 911 Turbo is in a different galaxy:

0-100km/h 1/4 mile Top speed
335: 5.3 13.6 250km/h
911: 3.6 11.8 313km/h

Perhaps you forgot to include also the links were the 335 smokes the Bugatti Veyron, the C6 Z06, the Ferrari Enzo and the Porsche Carrera GT

Carlos, can you post the link from the same spanish magazine who tested a Evo IX and got 14.6 in the quarter and a 0 to 60 in 6.4 secs...please show the rest of the guys how slow Evos are

OK Carlos, time to do some translation about the 335 track results. mmmm...it seems that you forgot to mention that the 335 was beaten pretty bad by a 'mighty" 190bhp Renault Clio

 

if you're getting better numbers with your auto tranny, I don't understand? maybe better driving techniques(lesson?) in the use of a manual transmission would help? j/k

^^^So what is that link that I posted then? Off course there is a lot of sarcasm from my side. I know the 911 Turbo would smoke the BMW at any given day(power to weight ratio) and better traction alone would do it.

I just like to see the impression from people when I post such links with the Porsche loosing to the BMW, what do you have to comment to that? is it fake?

Since you are the one that brought this comment up, please show us were did I said it. I personally know you are being sarcastic but I do know that such comments triggeer people to make more comments

As far is the Evo 9 test doing 0-100km/h in 6 sec and doing the 1/4 mile in 14 and a half I already showed to you but I never posted here because obviously I don't think the test driver was a good driver enough.

Sergio, last but not least. If the Porsche is in another Galaxy like you said, how come it couldn't beat the 335i at that track(the links I provided)? Cmon, answer that one!!

Your first paragraph is dead on in regards to some of the thinking (or lack there of) that's taking place on that site. I'm currently in the market for another car and have considered the 335i as well as several other cars as a daily driver for when my better half and her little girl are going to be riding with me. After reading some of the post on that crazy site though I don't want to have anything to do with the crazy Bimmer mentality.....some of those folks are plain crazy
