I agree too heavy and expensive. Can't wait to see an "evo" gtr on the road or track so I can laugh as I pass it. I can also pretty much guarantee I wont see one on the mountain at 3am, because most will be doctor lawyer owners who think driving them to work in rush hour traffic is cool. gay.

They need to drop the weight and price... oh wait then it would be a real EVO!

The Z06 is a great platform, I just hate the driving position, the look, and the plastic / cheap interior. My guess is the Nissan / Infinity will be a 'nicer' package than the Z06 when it arrives on US shores. Again just my guess vs. yours at this point....

In the end we will have to see unless Nissan is sandbagging a 3500lb car with 450 crank hp will not be running 7:38 at the ring without a great tire, world renowned driver, and perfect conditions.

Example: When Chevy ran at the ring Rohl did 4 laps on stock tires with progressively better times each lap and then Chevy said let's rap it up and left. 4 laps not 5 months.

Also remember when Nissan said a stock R34 would run a 7:59 at the Ring and when other racers starting running 8:30's the number was put in question.

I'm done I hope the car is awesome and blows away everything!! I just don't think it will.

Some companies take cars to the ring for extensive testing and setup...The GTR will rock from what I have heard from execs at Nissan...Frankly the Z06 is an amazing car and C6R has been a test bed for years (at the ring and other), that said I think the GTR will be quite successful both in sales and at the track.

I dont care what anyone says... I cam from Nissans and am still a huge Nissan fan. Despite the price this car is gonna be killer! Is there any word on the engine? 3.5? 3.7? TT? NA? I knew it was orignally gonna be the 3.5 TT, but now they seemed to move to the 3.7 as in the G37. Regardless i hope they keep the variable vane technology in the turbos (like Porsche).

Its a 3.8 TT engine derived from one of their tournament car engines...

Correct me if i am wrong.

One clarification Rohl is the Porsche test driver, Magnusson piloted the Z06 to it's fastest lap, but the point is made. Magnusson has very little experience at the ring, ran 4 laps, and got a 7:42 on run flats. The GTR won't be blowing the Z06 out of any water. If this thing comes in at 3600+ lbs I won't be able to drop kick it fast enough..what a joke. No way, a 3600lb car with 480 HP is going to be faster then a Z06 or new viper. I know the GTR fanbois like to believe it can drive on water and turn petrol into bunny farts, but it's just a car.

The latest sources are saying the car will be closer to 3500lbs with 480HP. That makes it lighter then the 911 turbo with the same power.

Is 3500lbs lighter then 997 turbo? It still makes it a lot heavier then it's American rivals.

Maybe you need to go look at an '08 'Vette. The interior has nice materials and it's put together well. The new leather package really makes it shine. People just say "plastic/cheap" because that's what other people on the internets say.

Those Corvette interiors still look like Corvette interiors (to me). Kinda like polishing a turd, but everyone has their own opinions. If you like Corvettes, just get a Z-06 and use the money you saved on a nice, large, garish gold chain...j/k

If I purchase this car, I will wait for one of these schmoos who goes through cars like I go through toilet paper. You know, the ones that sell their car 6 months later to get the NEXT car.
