Hopefully the new sti is not plagued with the open/closed loop issues as the 07.
thats an easy fix (the ol/cl)... we have retuned a few now.

we are picking up both a new sti and evo x... should be fun to start developing some product on them.

Off topic, no they're not, maybe one or two has and both had a lot more than your above mentioned mods and were not on pump gas either. Check your facts before somebody like me who keeps track of these things calls you out.

On topic, I just don't understand what the problem is? I just don't understand why Subaru would sell a hatchback (or wagon) only for the STI? Are they trying to not sale cars As far as power looks good, but wouldn't be surprised if the STI and EVO X make similiar power to the wheels, STI has always been rated higher than the EVO from the factory, but the tale of the dyno has always told a different story, but the 125lbs weight difference is significant. But still again, I just don't understand why the wagon/hatchback. I mean the previous generation WRX wagons have always been really slow sellers, so why do this? I mean should perform well maybe even better than the X, but I am sorry people it will not sell well.

Probably will be eventually, because a $35,000 hatchback is a death sentence

it's nice to have 18" option on wheels. evo should have equipped w/ 18" from factory. the side view reminds me of new Mazda speed 3. anyone agree w/ me?

I think that Sti with break 4.2-4.4 sec to 60, and handle like its on rails. Wont e90 M3 buyers feel stupid. What are the going to high five about......ahh I have bluetooth, and iDrive
Doubt it, more like 4.6 to 4.8 seconds, anyhow who cares about 0-60 anyways. What ever happend to the 320hp rating we were all expecting for the STI and even the EVO X. My guess is that this car runs (if these are indeed the true numbers)

08/09 STI-

0-60- 4.6 to 4.8 Seconds
1/4 Mile- 12.9 to 13.3 Seconds
1/4 Mile Trap Speeds- 101-104mph

I don't think it will be much faster than the previous generation STI unless it is horribly underrated which has never been a trend by Subaru. Should be quicker than a EVO X in a straight line, I think with proper and more aggressive driving the EVO X should do-

0-60- 4.8 to 5.0 Seconds
1/4 Mile- 13.2 to 13.6 Seconds
1/4 Mile Trap Speeds- 100-103mph

Should be interesting to see who wins in comparisons, and on road courses, also I am interested to see which one pulls harder from a roll. I also want to see if the 08/09 STI can pull harder than the 07 STI? Should be interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if the 07 STI hangs with the 08/09 STI.

Wow and to think 5 months ago I was expecting both the EVO X and STI to be running mid 12s stock, LOL.

Oh i know there's an easy fix but subaru should have never let the any car with the tune that the 07 sti has on it leave the plant...it's horrible! That's all that I was stating in hopes that they decieded to fix it.

You do realize that the 304HP rating is for JDM models right? USDM have more HP...just like the X...the JDM one I believe has something like 27x HP whle the USDM has 295HP...I wouldn't be surprised if it indeed had 320 HP...and where is your proof that Subie over-estimates HP and Mitsu under-estimates...I'm sorry but that comment sounds very fanboy like...I am new to the whole eVo community so I have never heard of that before...it makes no sense to me...in fact the Subie should make more HP because it has a bigger displacement motor...2.5L vs 2.0...

Subaru is going with a more European look in all it's models. The hatch issue has been discussed time and again over on NASIOC and IWSTI. The STI is going hatch only mostly for WRC reasons, it's been proven the hatch platform is more stable, and can shave off a lot of weight. Hatch = more interior space, sells more to soccer mom's and grocery getters everywhere, more market, just as the Evo X is being marketted to a wider audience. A 35k hatch is not a death sentence to Subie, it's an entry into a lot more sales that you'd think.

Haha maybe . The space appeals to me too....arrying craploads of detailing supplies, a hatchback would be VERY nice.
