Sti Specs -- Lighter and more hp

Looks like the cat is out of the bag for the STI now:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1361146

Dimensions/Specs from brochure:

* (308PS) 304hp/6400rpm; (43kgm) 311lb-ft/4400rpm
* (mm) 4415 x 1795 x 1475
* (inch) 173.8 x 70.7 x 58.1
* weight 1480kg/3263lb (1470kg/3241lb for 17" and 18" BBS option)

If the weights are accurate, looks like the Sti has 10 more hp, 11 more ft.lbs and 125lbs less weight.

Here are the Exo X nums:

Its definately going to be a performer. Just by reading a few comments, I see the looks of the New STi are not even an issue over there.
Hmm..interesting.

looks good...if it is anything like the new wrx it will make alot more hp with minor bolt ons. There are reports of the wrx gaining 30-40 whp with just an intake tbe and a front mount. which compared to the old rex is very impressive. Hopefully the new sti is not plagued with the open/closed loop issues as the 07.

I might get the sti. I dont really want to have a car any tool who cant drive stick drives. But then again the cost(MR) of not being able to drive Evo stick(GSR) might be more that most can swallow. Hmm, tough choice.
I think that Sti with break 4.2-4.4 sec to 60, and handle like its on rails. Wont e90 M3 buyers feel stupid. What are the going to high five about......ahh I have bluetooth, and iDrive

A lot of WRX owners on the boards lately. Why?

Is the STI still getting a 2.0L overseas and the 2.5L in the US?

If so the 2.5 may have higher HP/TQ figures

well, I'm sure there are many who feel that people who spend 30,000+ dollars on a ford focus look-alike hatchback are fcking idiots too.

I came from the Subaru community (owned 2), moved away because of the redesigns, as are several others who feel they are now fugly.. It's the same with EVO owners who are skeptical about the X...

The 07 STI is already quicker than predecessors btw, what they put on the brochure is not true to what they throw down. They are hitting high 11s, low 12s with TBE and pro tune. The 08-09 will be the same way.

Seems like I'm going to be putting this car into heavy consideation now, interior is gorgeous and I like the idea of a hatch for some reason .

Could it be that most of the competitive entries in WRC are hatches?
