It's ugly. I don't care how much power it makes. Oh, and the previous model STIs all made more power than the EVO too. Hmm, that made a difference...

Make it a 3-door like my old SAAB 900 turbo and I'll be impressed.

Manufacturer claimed HP figure is not something I'd use in order to figure out whether it'll shave a second off in a circuit, or have 0.2 sec improvement in 1/4 mile, especially on Japanese cars. EVO 7-9 were all rated at 280PS in Japan, but where did all the HP increase from MIVEC and bigger turbo go? US spec IX is 286bhp, Japan is 280PS (276 BHP), but why do they make the same on dyno? (IX in both US and Japan dyno around 240-250 on Dynojet) Previous generation Skyline (R34), GT-T with RB25 is rated at 280ps, GT-R is also rated at 280ps (with RB26), and GT-R weighs couple hundred pounds more than the GT-T, but the GT-R will blow the doors off GT-T whether it be straight line or in corners, both in stock form.

You shouldn't compare JDM GDB with USDM GDB by using manufacturer claimed HP at all. If so, why does 276BHP with supposedly less torque outrun a 300BHP car in both straight and corners? Maybe because USDM weighs like 100lbs more, but can't 24hp cover 100lbs easily in both straight and corners?

The EJ25 is better in design compared to EJ20, but Subaru is using **** parts for stock engine. (Like crank, connecting rod, pistons, valves, crappy camshaft etc) I am not completely certain though, this theory might have made sense for the current generation since the EJ25 is new, but the question is why does Japan still use EJ20 on their cars, where usually they keep the best performing specs in their country. Perhaps it is due to the type of races they are or would like to engage in with their cars and the restrictions, I don't know.

Damn I was a skeptic about it looking like a ford focus but not anymore. It's still a great car.

that interior looks sexy as hell. I can CLEARLY envision a sedan version of this STi and it would look pretty damn good. Subaru are idiots if they don't release a sedan version in the future.

i am not able to source my info but i think i read somewhere that the wrc and otehr rally rules were updated or were being updated and soem of the changes forced suburu to go w/ the current design for that matter everyone had to accomadate for them some fram and transmission changes in the X and i think suburu actually had to do something different about the engine............... but this is all completly unsubstantiated just thought id throw it out there

The four door hatch look isn't doing it for me. It looks a lot like a Lexus SUV in the back and I hate the clear taillights. If it was a 2 door and had black taillights maybe.

Now this is how a hatch should be done.
