I would defiitely go for the cooper S. A friend of mine has intake exhaust and a different supercharger pulley and is making almost 200 fwhp.

get a toureg.......that a vw worth looking into. With the air ride suspension that lowers at high speeds and you can control the height inside aswell. You can go through water up to the windshield and so many more things about it make it so appealing. Passat w8 sadan would be cool or an audi a4 avantgard wagon. I am really getting into german cars lately

there is like 3 cars out of that whole list that you might be able to get for 20g, lower your expectations. that neon srt-4 is a hunk of junk. yeah its a 2.5T, but, it is a neon.... if you want a car that will out-perform what you have now get the Jetta, but not the VR6 because all you can get is the auto style unless you special order and that means more money. the 1.8T jetta is fast enough, and you will love it. you are looking at like 28G for one, but well worth the money. Also it is made by Germans, they are reliable people. Another thing about VW, is all the Neuspeed parts you can find are covered by factory warrenty. there is my 2 cents.

WELL I dont know what you should get, because i havent driven many of them, however, If you are going to do some crazy driving I wouldnt get a Civic si (if thats the hatchback im thinking of) It just so happens that lastnight one of my friends lost control and ROLLED one. Only 500 miles on it. I know he wasnt under the influence of anything but just looking at the thing i never really trusted it to keep right-side-up either???

Here is something not on your list and not well known... the Tiberon 4cyl... it's hella strong bottom and top. In Korea they are making 450HP with turbo application. They sell the kit here in the states for it. Seems that car has been around over there for a long time. They already have ecu's developed, suspensions, etc. You can pick one up for about 16G's then put about 7G's for all around vehicle *** kickin fun. Can you imagine the sweet looking 03 Tibby 4cyl with 450HP. Just a suggetion as i'm big on sleeper cars that no one really has. Would be a lot of work though so if you want factory w/warranty then get the neon!

yes, pay the OZ and wait for something else, is the best idea and best mature accion I bealive; your OZ is almos new, enjoy it a lil more... then you can go fot the Lancer Ralliart and in a near future the EVOLUTION.

Anyways just my opinion, Good luck.

I've heard something quite similar about overseas Tiburons. I know Apex'i makes a turbo kit but off the top of my head that's the only large manufacturer I can think of. It certainly isn't a bad idea.

Neither does a lancer...neon..eclipse...celica...etc! There is more than that for turbo kits on TIBYS but its a time thing as they still get parts from overseas. Was just a thought for my next car...well actually my womans but you get my point. In all, paying for your current car then getting something else is best. That way you have more cash... a possible trade... also the longer you wait the more you get to see! I mean most cars have problems that need addressed and after time these show. Weak parts is a big one... seeing what mods work best is even better. All things that are best left to others to pioneer!

First off, I didn't read thru all the previous posts...and this MIGHT be repeating what someone else's saying....

Anyhow, from a financial sounding point of view, I'd much rahter going for a relatively new used car than a brand spanking new ones. If you like this idea, your choice will be much much broader and with less money out.

With the current interest rate, buying new and used does NOT make a big difference for the rate. However, you would save at least 10-15% compared to a new car.

Just my thought, it's your money and your decision to make

Having said that, you can get some decent cars like the WRX, ITR and some other big name sport cars in the 90's for under $20K
