Should I buy a new car???
So here's the story.
I have recently been blessed with a VERY good job, and I'm thinking about upgrading my ride. I want to keep it around 20K for the car, if I get a new one. I listed as many as I could think of in the poll, but let me know if I missed something.
I already test drove the Focus SVT. Not a big fan. There were too many things I didn't like about it, and with the seat all the way down, I had barely and inch of headroom. So I've already nixed that one.
I'm going to hopefulls test drive the SRT4 today, and maybe the Civic Si and Sentra SE-R Spec V. I'll let you all know what I think, and include a review of the Focus SVT.

I voted better idea, what about the Mazda 6, Nissan 350Z, of course those might be out of your price range you listed. Also, stay away from the Protoge if you're worried about head room. I can also tell you the seats in the SRT-4 are VERY uncomfortable, I was riding in one for about 15 min. and my legs started to hurt.

its not that the 350Z is out of my price range, its that if i'm going to jump up to the 30K range, i'm going to wait longer, that's all. i could always do that and upgrade in the meantime. of course, if i was in the 30K range, it would be an Evo, no question.
well, maybe an sti...

i had a similar thread to this a few months back called "best car under 25k" you could search that and some people had some really great ideas and reasons....The GTI Annaversary edition is really awesome i would check that out! The 03 Scoobie looks a lot better now, and dealers have pretty good incentives on those... Just some suggustions but good luck!

You should check out that Tiberon, from what i hear they are really fast and come with a V6, ooo la la, there are also lots of mods availible for the Tiberon. I really like that Golf VR6, i would take one of those any day. Yeah go look at the STI. I want one of those too.

I'm a fan of 6's (inlines preferred, V's taken since they're more popular). I'm seriously considering an Eclipse GT if they're still around when I'm ready to trade up. The Tiburon has a weak V6 dropping only 175HP at the flywheel and Hyundais aren't exactly known for their quality. The Golf VR6 is nice but if room is a priority, you might want to stray from it, plus, it's a V6 you have to drive like a 4 banger. Most of the 4 bangers you have listed are nice save for maybe the Celica. Sure, great top end power but with only 130 lb./ft., city driving it means a lot of shifting. Only three forced inductions machines on your list (SRT-4, MSP, and Cooper S) offer lots of possibilities and the Cooper handles like a go-cart, but once again, room. The MSP also take a majority of the tuning out of your life but if that's not what you're looking for, get it. Remember though, the MSP engine was not strengthened for the addition of their turbo so that's something to keep in mind. For me, I'm concerned about mileage so I would stay N/A but I still want some good power to tote around so my two picks would be the Eclipse and the RSX.

I wanted a Celica GTS so bad with the action package. I wanted a silver with dark charcoal leather. Couldn't afford the price tag even going thru the internet dept. I got throughly wasted by one in a race. I do also like the Civic Si. They have 2.9% and a $750.00 rebate at least in Texas. I could get one at invoice minus the rebate but I am too buried in my car.

I voted to keep your OZ and upgrade that. In my point right now I'd take no car payments over an EVO.
You can use that extra money to mod your lancer or just do whatever else it is you desire.
Pay off your OZ!!!!
