The Spec V is a sweet car. Go with either that or the SRT-4. Both great bangs for the buck!

I finally signed my contract on the 20th of Sept. I figure I'm gonna wait a while and see how the job goes, and at least wait till the Ralliart comes out. Until then, its mod-time for my OZ!

I heard those 6's are rust-buckets waiting to happen. Some guy has a site with one that rusted a few weeks after purchase.

I just went through all this and most of the cars on your list were on my list. I also considered a used TT & a used WRX.

I say either the RSX-S or the SRT-4 the Acura is VERY low maintanence so you will save a lot there plus its comfort and convenience is great and because its acura it comes pretty loaded. It has a reasonable amount of performance and handles fairly well Its going to cost a bit more than 20k but like I said you save big dollars in the low maintanence of this car.

The SRT-4 is the best performance buy its the quickest car for 20k price range so if thats your main concern then get this car

If you don't go for an SRT-4, go for a Cooper S.

Why? As quick or nearly as quick as the other listed cars (except the SRT-4), very very few problems, outhandles EVERYTHING on that list, HANDILY, and such an absurdly good residual value, getting rid of it isn't painful at all. Also has the most cargo capacity if I'm not mistaken (friend brought home a 36" widescreen CRT in it -- in the box, hatch closed). And if you keep it, it makes for a good daily driver when you get something such as an Evolution.

Worst cars on that list for residual? Your OZ, the Tiburon, the Eclipse GT (why I had to run to the end of my lease -- I couldn't get rid of it otherwise). To me, none of those cars have any great potential, and they don't hold value well at all.

to save money, i would say to just upgrade the lancer, unless your not happy with it. Then get something else, eclipse's are nice. My friend had one, but not anymore, she loved it when she had it.
