The Evos aren't selling as well as had hoped. I'd wager that you could wait 3-5 months and get a 03' Evo for around 24-26K.

I chose of course a better idea, however if you're not down with this suggestion stick with your OZ and pimp it out until you can go for the Evo. You tend to lose $$ if you sell a new car before paying off more than it's worth.

yeah. i'm strongly considering just paying off the lancer. i'll be able to pay it off in a year, and be completely out of debt.

ah, the sweet scent of financial FREEDOM!

I'd go with the RSX-S since I have one lol. I can't afford an evo at this time so I went with the RSX-S. I love it, the interior is beautiful and many new aftermarket products on clubrsx.

you could wait but then it will be an "old" car.....I mean its not much diff if you plan to keep it a long as time but my thoughts are to
1) save up for a while (like me) and get a 2004 model
2) get a Protege or SRT-4 as both (the SRT for sure) are upgradable

;-)

Here's my thoughts. The best pick for the money and performance is the Neon SRT-4. A friend of a friend has it, and DAMN that car is awesome. So many mods available for it soon too. I was talking to a guy who sells aftermarket parts a while back, and he said this car is amazing. They are making a better turbo upgrade for it and basic upgrades as well.
Plus the car looks great. Who cares about the Neon's past, yea they sucked. Just needed time to improve themselves. Go with this car. No offense, but the RSX is a ***** car. The civic si is decent but looks like a rip-off of the golf. I personally hate all Honda's and Toyota's, except for the Supra, and S2000. They make good cars, but I think they are boring. VW's are nice. I heard they have a lot of electrical probalems though, and after decent milage they sound like U-Boats. The Mini's are cool. Too small though. That would be like a second car for me. WRX's are nice as hell, but the EVO is better. The new Grand Prix is hot as hell. This car is seriously sick. You can shift gears on the steering whell. Plus it out performs the accord, the nasty *** looking camry which looks just like the gay *** avalon, and every car in the same class. Plus the engine sounds sweet. Or you can just wait till the new Pontiac GTO comes out. Gonna be a sick *** car. Or the 2005 Mustang with 400 horsepower. I went to the New York City car show and that's the car everyone was around. Wait one more year for that car.

I wouldn't be in such a hurry to buy a new car. You haven't even gotten your first paycheck yet, and you are driving an almost-new car already.

I'd sit on the OZ for a little while, save your money, and decide later.

If you REALLY want something different to drive, buy yourself a beater project. Go super fast for 5k or less. You won't break the bank and you will have something that will keep you entertained until you know you're ready to buy something new.

RX-7 TII, 5.0L Stang, CRX hybrid...lots of options there.

Or, you could always buy my Corrado. Heh.

Good luck!

well, i'm just trying to get as much info as i can right now. i actually plan on waiting a few months before i start looking at cars. anywho...

the more i read up on the sentra spec v, the more i'm leaning towards it. it really is full of all kinds of cool features, and at an incredibly good price. so keeps the votes and comments coming, but make sure you tell me WHY to get a certain car, not just which one to get.

here's another update...

the reason this thread is still going, is that i'm still waiting to sign the contract for this new job. every day i hate lawyers more and more, because the company who is aquiring us has a lawyer that is a straight up DICK. he has continued to change the contracts and terms, WHICH WERE ALREADY AGREED UPON, so that he has more hours on the clock at his un-godly, and completely undeserved, rate. thankfully, i was able to work as a consultant starting up a gourmet coffee and ice cream shop in orlando, so i haven't been completely unemployed these last 2 months.

anywho, back OT. check out this link. its gotta lot of good information about the spec v and its performance. it looks like a very well engineered machine. too bad i can say that about the body styling though... not sporty enough IMO.
