Technically, any mid-engined super car would fall in that category (rear mounted transmission). Oh and why is this in the Future Evos section?

I know the Z06 is fast and all but I don't think it falls under the super car category. I see 1 Z06 at least once a week.

Maybe a hand full of Ferraris, Lambo's and high end Porsches through out the year.

We're talking about super cars not exotic cars. They're two different categories. Super cars are judged more on their overall stock performance while exotic cars are judged more on rareness and exclusivity.

Z06 might not be an "exotic" but it sure as hell is a supercar.

Bah Evo Z beat me to it.

you know what. i can honestly say that this will be the first time when i literally mean it....the GTR is GOD DAMN SEXY! It's probably the hottest car I have ever seen, if there were superheroes in this world, this is the car they would drive.

This fcking beast is honestly making me think about saving an extra 30k to buy this over the Evo X.

yeah IMO it's a disappointment at this point in time. if they DO release V-spec versions (or whatever they call it) with a huge weight savings then we're talking. but right now all i see is a PIG with "fancy" AWD, HUGE brakes, and HUGE power to make up for it's weight. yeah the past GT-R's were no different, but this one is the first stand alone model that's not based on the skyline. it could have been so much more. that's why IMO it's a failure. there is still hope for V-spec versions but the price will undoubtedly skyrocket past 100k and out of most people's means.

also technologically it's INFERIOR to the Evo X if you think about it. S-AWC PWNS this version of ATTESA-ETS. it seems they took away the active rear diff and instead it has a one-way mechanical LSD in the back. it does have the new VDC-R traction control, but the Evo X has ASC. both have DSG transmissions. logically i'd say the borg-warner DSG in the GT-R is "better" than the SST only because we know for a fact that it can handle 470 hp. we don't know what the SST can do yet but 470 is a lofty goal for a stock 300 hp car. about the only think i thought the Evo X was gonna get but didn't is active suspension. in that way the GT-R has more tech, but at 2x the price so we're even.

IMO the EVO X is the better value. plus you get 2 rear doors for the practicality. EVO X FTW!!!!!!!!!

Lol what is wrong with you guys and this whole weight thing. I feel like I'm reading a CosmoGirl magazine or something, and all you guys are talking about is throwing up because that saves calories Even if it weighs 3800 lbs it can do 0-60 in like what 3.5 seconds? What is that not fast enough? You know there are such things as "too fast" for a sports car (not a 1/4 mile car). The car is great if I had 80k I would defiantly buy it and I wouldn’t give a damn if it weighed 5,000lbs if it could still get 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. I guess all you guys are looking for is 4 wheels and a steering wheel. I guess you don't want any of the comfort, safety, luxury features that come with it. If that's the case why don't you make yourself a kit car and be done with it.

I think 3000ways is upset because the way the guy finished his post.
The GTR makes EVO look small time?
Uh...yeah.
35k vs 55k? Stock 295hp vs 500hp?
Yeah there is a substantial difference.
But don't mind me, I just drive a 08 Lancer, I am not an EVO owner although, I have had plenty of experience with them. So people who don't have EVOs are considered nobodys anyway.
lol

I could care less what people think anymore.
From this website, you got people who own EVOs and don't know ***t about them.
And most of the people I see who own an EVO, don't even know the history of the 4g63 and its applications. Yet they have the ***** to compare the 4g63 to the 4b11? lol

Ahhhh. The irony.

I've read that car will be over $75,000. Don't know where people are thinking 60k.

Gents, I would like to suggest that you review my sig line before accusing me of evoX hating.

I fell in love with the evo the first time I saw it and drove it. Enough to buy one in cash over a BMW M3.

I happen to be a big evoX fan-boy, yet still feel like there is plenty of room for other models and styles.

I also happen to think that the new STI is pretty hot. I know that the majority think it's ugly but, I happen to think change in this case is pretty good.

The evoX, in my opinion, is better looking than the STI but not as hot as the GTR.

Money not withstanding, the GTR sets the bar pretty high as far as high performance cars are measured. Yes, I consider the evoX a high performance car.
