the GTR full monte
The GTR look is sex - wish I was financially silly (or just filthy rich) enough to drop 80k on a car
With the X we have to stop calling it a 30k car and start talking 35-40k. While I love my EVO 8, 40k for any bishi is too much $$$. I fit the released demographics of the intended X market, but would look elsewhere if the X I want is anywhere north of 35k.
Peace

Pulled this off of the Top Gear website. I know that anything can eventually be hacked, but it is too bad that Nissan has taken this attitude. Still a great looking/performing car. Would spend the money if I had it.
"They've designed the engine and systems to be tamper-proof, to make it as difficult as possible to be messed with. Maybe they reckon the aftermarket tuning of previous GT-Rs doesn't fit in with the new Nissan supercar image.
Hmm. I think the tuners will have something to say about that, and maybe it's possible this is an error from Nissan when it comes to appealing to traditional GT-R customers. We'll see."

GTR make evoX look very small time.

BTW, check out the 2009 Skyline sedan, weird huh?
I can't think of anything that is really competition to the Z06 especially the new ones. I guess you could say Vipers but thats only 2 cars that fall under the "super car" category.
I mean what exotic cars aren't fast? Unless you consider exotics like Bentelys and what not.
Just trying to understand better.
this car makes my gut hurt.
when i first drove the Evo i was hooked. i wanted the car so bad for the next year i was in pain everyday.
now the same feeling is back, looking at pictures of this car. holy mother cheese i want to test drive one...

Hot on the heals of the official release of the Nissan GT-R it is being reported that an even hotter version the V-Spec will be released sometime in 2009.
The V-Spec version will arrive about a year after the GT-R is originally released in most markets. Most likely it will arrive in 2009 as a 2010 model. The V-Spec version of the GT-R will be lighter and more powerful thanks to the use of carbon fiber and aluminum.
An EVO version of the GT-R has also been rumored with around 530 horsepower.
