I thought it would be like a FQ400 vs lambo style of competition. But this video shows how the veyron really backs its reputation.

I am not aware of a production car on the planet that can hang with a Veyron. The Carrera GT was the closest competition, and it got waxed.

 

Great video. What do you expect though.. Double the amount of cyl. and two more turbos. HP numbers in the fours vs. threes. Price tag that sends people to the hospital with sticker shock. Yea, it better be that fast. You know, eye ***** sucked into the back of your head kind of feeling. Kick A&%!!!!

 

The Carrera GT got beat by one of Buschurs Evos on the street. They're fast but not anywhere near the Bugatti.

 

Umm...~$90,000 car vs. ~$1,500,000 car. You better HOPE the Veyron takes it out. lol.

ps. that rolling start towards the end, that was SILLY.

 

That's not saying much. There are a ton of Evos that are quicker in the 1/4 mile than a Veyron...just don't try to do a top speed run.

It's amazing how fast the Bugatti is.... But then think about how a top fuel car goes
0 to over 60mph faster than the Bugatti's top speed in under 5 seconds

 

that is why they compared the r35 GTR to the porsche carrera turbo and GT2?

 

The SSC Ultimate Aero is faster than the Veyron in both acceleration and top speed.

However, when you compare the two cars, you realize why the Veyron is so amazing. The SSC is a very stripped down car, similar to what the McLaren F1 was. It's a really light car that's putting down an obscene amount of power. The Bugatti, on the other hand, is a fatty, loaded up with all the luxury creature comforts, and it's still the second fastest car in the world.

 

lol seriously? 495hp vs 1001hp...hmmmm

i wish they had done the competition like the FQ and the Lambo instead of just straight line speed comparison. the straight line stuff is pointless because you already know who's going to win.
