I'm sorry if i offended some of you, but not trying to start a war between domestic and imports. What I'm trying to say is that maybe the domestic car manufacture can learn a thing or two from other nations.

When Toyota first came into business, they sent a lot of their engineer to work at Ford for free.

I should had made myself more clear.

im not biased on any country i judge the car different engines perform different just cause they are all V-8 dosnt mean they goto be the same. have you seen torque numbers on a Ferrari? ita like around 500hp/300torque now this dosnt mean its bad Ferrari are supercars they are light because they use expensive exotic materials so they dont need as much torque as other cars also lower displacement has its advantages in a light weight track car like a wider power band because they can rev higher. lower displament engines counter this with longer gears and they have the torque to back it up. eh there is too much for me to list but it depends on what you you like better.

as you can see from Japanese Car Manufactures like Nissan and Toyota that are slowly changing to higher displacement motors just because its just cheaper to produce a reliable higher horsepower motor with more displacement.

also these motors are bigger but they are lighter yep alot of people dont know that Huge Chevy 500hp/500tq gas sipping LS7 7liter v-8 weighs less then a 4g63, sr20 and even a 13b.all aluminum ftw

Or even better, let's compare $$$/HP for each of these engines. (Not $$$/HP for the car, I'm talking just engine cost.)

A better comparison is engine weight/hp.

Good luck!

There was talk about the new Supra awhile back, but it's still in the drawing board. Toyota was saying that they were planning on building two models of supra. One with the V8 with and 400+ hp and another with a V6 and 300+hp. But it was all talk.

They have the Future Toyota Hybrid Sportcar (FTHS) concept, but it'll be like that for a lot longer.
