VW 1998 New Beetle - questions on MAF

Hey, my GF has one of those ugly critters, and my question is does the MAF Sensor fit the regular model as well as the turbo diesel models? ...i'm about to order one for her becasue her cel is on and auto zone says could be the MAF so its a cheap fix if thats the case, and just reset ecu by disc battery.....

thanks for help.

Fix the MIL and sell the car.

It's only gonna get worse from here...

About the MAF sensor
Call any competent VW dealer, and ask the parts department.

Don't buy one from Autozone. Get the VW manufactured sensor. Those cars can react badly to non VW parts.

I highly doubt they could be compatible, I don't think the turbo diesel engine MAF will work the same way as the regular N/A engine specially gasoline vs diesel engine.
