Mid 80's Dodge Colt turbo (or mitsu mirage- same car) It was about 2000lbs and suprised the crap out of every civic that pulled up next to me. The lawnmower engine sound was also a plus

i drove a Mazda speed 3 at my job the guy had a cold air intake, turbo back exhaust, and hks bov. i put in a new turbo warranty and when i went for a test drive i realized it really isnt all that fast felt like it didnt make power all the way to redline the way a SRT-4 neon does. and my 240 wasnt considered fast in the us until recent times lol 348whp+2589lbs+rwd= quick

Not anymore. He works at Modern Performance in West Long Branch NJ. I know him personally. He crashed it and totaled it. He was going to part it out, but now he may buy another Volvo and do the swap all over again. BTW he was using a T78 Turbo.

Along the same lines, Omni GLH. I had a friend with a new one when we were growing up and he'd do something to raise the boost and would walk every car in town. He traded it in for a new Starion and would do the same. The Mustang and Camaro guys could never figure out how they lost to a 4 banger. I guess they still struggle with that.

They don't feel fast AT ALL. that's the weird thing. and no, they aren't good to redline. The turbo is like the size of a bagel. it will pull slightly on a stock 2003 evo from a roll.

my '88 supra turbo in 1990 got left in the dust at the 1/4 mile track by a..........U.S. mail truck....right hand drive and all.....one of the funniest races ever!!!!
+1 on the Omni GLH...goes like hell....especially our friends' car with a straight pipe (no muffler)....lots of fun races with that thing!!!
