It can go another 30 years and I will still love to have one GN. By deafult I ended buying the Eclipse GSX instead of a 87 GN. I had money in hand and the seller just took too long to respond me and to fix a couple of stupid issues(windshield crack).

As I said, the GN is perhaps my favorite american car, I read and I read and I read all about this car, I love the simplicity of the set up, I love how simple is to switch $55 chips for 91oct, 91oct plus meth, race, etc.

This car is undeniably my number one choice. These cars were the absolute kings of the dragstrip on the 80's and 90 and still they are.

Too old and to prehistoric compared to the European counterpart. The XRT4I did not even had a Intercooler. They could squeeze much more out of the 2.3l.

Instead in Europe they had them making already 220hp on a 2.0liter. I wouldn't put a dime on the XRT-4i as far is sleeper, it wasn't that fast to begin with.

My choices are :

GN
Subaru Forester
SRT-4(without spoiler)
Dodge shadow turbo and their counterparts(shelbys, daytonas)
Dodge Omni GLH-s
Cyclones/Typhoon

if you aren't looking for blazing fast speeds, the Mazda 323 GTX is a good sleeper. It comes with the 1.6L B6 engine that later made it's way into the 90-93 Miata. ~ 132 hp, curb weight of around 2600 lbs, AWD drivetrain. With $1000 in mods, the car makes about 190 hp. The car can be made into a high 13/low 14 second car with simple bolt ons.

Speaking of Turbo Miata. This is what I was building and driving for the previous 7 years until I bought my '03 VIII a year ago. In the Miata world everyone has a name for their car. My Miata was named "Sleepy".

Here is Sleepy's Car Domain site and spec list. In summary: built motor, GT turbo, 18 psi, yada, yada, yada...

My wife said I needed to give up my "mid life crisis car" and buy something more sedate. So, I bought the EVO - the perfect old man's car. LOL!

I know it's not stock, but my 93 Probe gt ran 12.50's on 9psi with a m62 blower. Shocked the hell out of a lot of tuners around town. I turbo'ed it, but never got a clean pass. I really enjoyed the car stock as well. Not fast in a straight line, but pretty fun in the twisties!

I definately agree with the GN, by far one of my favorite cars

I am posting this just cause it fits the thread...

The car is my Volvo S60R and its bone stock. That being said its way faster then I think it should be. I hooked up a boost gauge to see if maybe it had been chipped (I got it 4 months old) but boost was rock solid at the stock number. So I just wanted to share some videos of some races that going by "internet talk" I should have lost...

1. Buddies Evo (might be on here) goes on the local board under the name "Jester" his mods at the time, Turboback, MBC@19psi, Intake. I missed 3rd gear on first run and on the 2nd run I didn't miss a gear. The camera starts late on the 2nd one but you get the point...

2. Stripped CRX with B16a2 + Nitrous

3. 350Z with Full exhaust, CAI, Intake Spacer, alot of other boltons. It went 105mph off the bottle in the 1/4mile.

why not? colt with a 4g63 swap is mean just on stock boost and fwd. Put on a halfway decent turbo setup and go awd and it's sick.

Oh how's about a 4g63 elantra with a pink racing stripe, here's a launch pic I took at Mitsu day at englishtown this year...

If I remember correctly, it ran 10's
