EVO VIII vs. SRT-8 Grand Cherokee vs. E46 M3
the jeep was disapointing. as a jeep guy, i really wanted to love it, i just couldnt. engine doesnt rev (i know its a truck motor). stiff suspension but still leans like crazy.
but there is no denying the sound it makes, the way it looks, and those hot center exhaust pipes

Not so crazy about the jeep. I've been enjoying the evo since I got it. As for bimmers I've had an e36 and e46 and haven't had to do any major maintenances(BTW BMW has an excellent preowned warranty). Also, theres pleeeeeeeeenty of mods for an e46 m3. Good luck with whichever purchase you end up with
The OP has obviously never had a BMW serviced before.
In terms of maintenance, the Jeep will be the cheapest and the BMW the most expensive. Overall operating costs, the Jeep will probably be the most expensive because of the horrible fuel mileage (12 would be optimistic, uses premium too). I'd throw out the M3 as a decent winter car. Leaves the Evo as the obvious choice.
