My friends dad owns a nissan/infiniti dealer and although his dads dealer is not getting any GTR's, he said they will be about 100-120k depending what trim level you get

The price is just going to follow basic economics of supply and demand. Low supply and high demend equals and adjusted higher price. Some people with way too much money will look at it from this perspective: it's still cheaper than a 911 turbo.

And there are lots of people with just too much money... such as the guy that bought a Shelby GT500 for double the sticker when it first came out. And that was for a (relatively) piece of garbage mustang!

any1 remmeber what they did with the new cobras? the mark ups...WERE MORE THAN THE CAR's PRICE! but this is totally expected...because as mentioned people will still buy it for bragging rights that they owned one of the first GT-Rs. PS: Z06 FTW

Still cheaper than 911.

There seems to be quite a few people looking towards the new z06 and the GTR

100-120k... Wow... I hope it goes down by the time I am in the market for a car at its level... Otherwise I'll end up spending the little extra for a 911 Turbo...

Yes they say that but it's to appease the public. Ferrari as a parent company says the same thing to make them look good, but they turn a blind eye and don't enforce anything when the dealers actually do the price gouging.

I found out last night we are getting 2 in and they are most likely going to be 100k+. We have been offered 20k deposites and they are declining them.

Wow...just wow.

That price seems way to expensive, give it after its first year, the price will eventually go down. If it doesn't then their no way Ill be picking one up!

Why would you buy a GT-R for $120K when you can get a 997 GT3 for $105k?

I can understand $5-10k markups, but not $40-50k.

I wonder if Nissan remembers why all the Japanese sports cars of the early 90s went away in the first place... they were all overpriced. Supra, 3000GT, NSX, 300ZX, etc..

Cocky Nissan dealers asking $20000 in advanc

Let me start my topic saying that this dealer ( peorianissan in AZ) don't return phone calls, as simple as that.
Secondly, the pricing is outrageous, I just got quoted anywhere from $70000 to $90000 .
Last but not least, this dealer wants $20000 deposit.

I had enough of this hype, this is no less than the hype when the Nissan 350z was launched in the summer of 2002. Overpriced product.

You can have a brand new 08 C6 Z06 for $64995 from corvetteconti.com.

You should mention the car in question at least once, lol.

I'm sure your talking about the GT-R. Why do they do this? Because they can, it's called supply and demand. And supply is very limited.
