Evo to Z06

I have made multiple threads about me trading my evo off on another car. I think I finally know what car I want. I was thinking a 02-04 Z06. The looks have started to grow on me and from what I hear it's stock capable of 11.7's and a 3.9 0-60. Didn't think there were many v8's that could pull a faster 60 than an AWD evo lol. I just want to hear some input from any previous Z06 owners.

Just for a moment try to forget that I drive a Z06 and I had a couple of Evos..before that ever happened I was almost sold into a C5 Z06(405hp version).

I think the C5 Z06 has been one of the best all around cars GM sold and unarguably right now they really represent one of the best bang for the buck performance cars in the automotive industry.

This car performs very well, don't let people fool you, back in the day the car trapped 117mph and ran mid 12's which is to current standards a remarkable performance. The C5 Z06 did his job on the braking, slalom and acceleration. Wether is dragstrip, autoX, road course or simply a car to pull a long trip I think the C5 Z06 does the job.

Remember, back in sep 04 I almost got me one instead of the Evo8 MR. Best of luck.

do me a favor, go to youtube and look for a friend of mine, he has a monster Z06, his videos are under Z06SICK or sickZ06, his real name is Tony, his Z06 is really sick(engine built by MTI), he now has his second Z06(it is yellow) his previous one was silver..don't miss it, it will make you want one even more.

The C5 Z06 is a great performer. I’m a previous owner and enjoyed the car when I had it. Actually owned two at different times, and wouldn’t be surprised to see a C6 Z06 in the garage at some point.

The C5 Zo6 is great car. and i promise that you will not be dissapointed in it. I didnt own one but i worked in the Springfield Corvette Museum in springfield VT wich is no closed unfortunatly but you can still find the site online.

anyways we had just shy of 10 vettes there and the one of the c5's and also the "tour" car or dialy driver was the ZO6. so when the longisland corvette club (one of our larger clubs) comes up to vt for the weekend and i take them out for a day tour of the beautiful sights and roads of VT i got plenty of drive time on multiple occasions.

Either way Great car. and i think you will be happy with price vs performance especially for that older model which is the same one that we had 02 ZO6 with that electron blue color i think.

We also had a 88 Callaway C4 code named "sledgehammer" although this one was with the 4+1 tranny not the six speed. either way a twin turbo L98 if im not mistaken and while that was a blast to drive the ZO6 was a notch higher. Same goes for the 93 ZR1 40th anniversary ruby red beauty!

Enjoy!
