i know this is an EVO forum and naturally im gonna get $hit from EVO guys.
i honestly think when people try to comapre the looks of this car with a mazda3/ford focus is because it is a hatch. but parked side by side they look like 2 totally different cars imo.

not a big deal anyway, Mazdaspeed 3 looks good.

I actually like the functionality of the design while also keeping weight down. It's a shame it doesn't have the same driving excitement of the heavier, less practical X.

i'd have to agree with you in terms of overall stock handling capabilities of the X vs the usdm STi. dont get me wrong though, i think this car is a blast to drive.

the STi comes with some tiny sway bars front and rear IMO. Subaru always does this. The supsension is actually pretty harsh sometimes. i'm sure the X is a lot stiffer though.

from what i've read, changing the front and rear sways totally change the attitude of the car (no more understeer etc.) also, the Dunlops are quite crappy. I think better tires alone would make this car different. as seen with the cobb Sti, they just upgraded the tires, added front and rear sways and lowered it with some springs and achieved 1.2g on the skid.
i got my car for 34100 with everything except navigation. throw in 700 worth of springs and sways and 800 for better set of tires, and it will be overall 35600 or higher end 36000

I've always said if I could get a Cosworth Focus here I'd buy one in a second.

I know we're all Mitsu guys here, but that usually seems to create a kneejerk towards "competing" cars that I think is usually unfounded. People who can't appreciate another great car (STi, V8s, etc.) need to broaden a little IMO. Thank you for your time
I agree that we all should be a lil bit more open when it comes to other cars especially rivals but i do disagree wid the design of the STi some photos look good but its still look like a Suzuki Reno wid a body kit. I saw 2 in person but it still doesn't do the car any justice. I don't care how much lighter it is over the X i wouldn't buy it.

Honestly, if it were based on performance, I would get the new STI over the new EVO.

Looks wise, I think the STi still looks good, but not as good as the evo.
