Sometimes I really like the look and sometimes I don't (seeing them in person). As others have said, sometimes I can't get past the hatch look. Sometimes the bulging fenders look nice, though.

Regardless of either of the new gens, I'm happy with my IX!

wow. most evo guys would say the STi performance wise isn't as good as the evo.

engine/handling etc.

i personally think the cars are just as good as one another, and it is just up for personal preference.

if you want to track your car...
you can get either one... honestly, how many people who track their cars keep their cars stock?!

if you want a daily driver...
one car handles better stock for stock than the other, so if you want that precise handling on your canyon runs or you wanna go 80mph+ on an exit ramp, the EVO will do the job.
you want more utility and more torque and more raw feel with great handling get the STi.

I've seen 2 '08 STi's on the street so far. One was white with gold bbs wheels, and the other was black with silver bbs wheels. Yes, they look better than the pics, but the last generation '07 Sti still looks much better in my opinion. Subaru switched over to a hatchback due to it having more structural rigidity than the last sedan version. I still have a good feeling that Subaru will bring out a sedan version of the '08 STi. I hope they do...Because I know many Subie guys are waiting for it.

I'm not a big fan of hatchs at all but the new STi look really isn't that bad at all. The only thing that kills it for me is the taillights.....but you can always throw some red tint on em and I'm sure it'd look 100% better....Something like this would be rad....

Im not gonna lie. When I first saw pictures of the new STis, I thought they were hideous. That all changed once I saw one on the road. Ive never been a big hatchback fan but I would definately push one.

Now both of those STIs look pretty hawt. I guess if they just ditched those clear rear taillights it would looks some much better.

It's not for everyone but neither were the 8/9 evo's. I like them though. I also don't mind the hatch look, it grew on me like the MS3 did.

I'm in the same boat as the guys who said they didn't like it in pictures, but I'm a pretty big fan of it after seeing them in person on the road. Especially the white w/ gold wheels combo.
