The only reason cars have AWD is becuase of adverse conditions. The whole concept of AWD is making the most of less than stellar grip, I think everybody would prefer RWD over AWD on a perfect track, with perfect grip, with perfect weather, the reason the EVO is so amazing is becuase it is fast over ANY surface, same goes with the GTR.

NVM tracktimes, put these two cars on a real street and put an avg joe behind the wheel and see whos faster! GTR by miles.

Wow, the 0-60 and 1/4 times were pretty damn close though. Give the GTR a bump in horses ala vspec and it becomes a much closer comparison IMO.

The GTR is losing steam by the end of the1/4 though. The weight becomes alot harder to overcome. More HP would do it some good (as well as a diet). Doing a standing mile or a highway pull the Vette would destroy a regular GTR, and I still believe it would trounce a Vspec in either of those competitions. A twisty track may give different results though.
