Prettymuch what I expected. The gtr can't come close to how badass the zr1 is.

I would expect the corvette to be quicker with over 100 more hp and costs 25k more. Even at that, it ties the gt-r's 0-60 and just barely beats it in the quarter. Plus you can drive the nissan in the rain and snow, which you would'nt even consider driving the chevy in. I wonder how fast the gt-r would be with 10-15k of tuning and still be cheaper than the vette...

R-U-Joking!! The GTR has a 20K trans with no aftermarket it will be the weak link in the end.....just imagine engage LC sequence and pop there goes 20k!! The ricer argument is so, 90's anway

The ZR-1 on the other hand is just a filter, tune, pulley swap away from 600whp+ these cars will run 9's with bolt ons, watch.

Guess you haven't looked at GTR prices lately. Both those cars are withing almost 10k.

I really hate to say it but its also pretty obvious which one is more reliable.

wait till the GT-R Vspec comes out. 550hp and 300lb weight reduction, better aero, better brakes, retuned suspension. That will be a better comparison.

If you're comparing prices, compare apples to apples.
GTR MSRP: was 69-71K but increased by 7K now
ZR1 msrp: around 104k

GTR with average markup (from ebay): 84-89K
ZR1 with markup (from ebay): lowest current bid on one is 120K with reserve not met, most are up around 135-155K

The two cars are not at all similar imo. You can compare them and each will come out ahead in various areas. Too bad I can't afford either right now.

Slicks are included in bolt ons I assume?

Yea and who in their right mind would drive a gtr in the rain or snow?? I know I wouldn't... and most people that buy the gtr or the corvette keep it in the garage...
