I saw that superbowl commercial and both the new hyundai website showcasing the lap, look at 2:09, I had a damned feeling that that had to be one of the camera cars!

bro its a hyundai............ they have NEVER been anything but cheap decently reliable cars. i definetly wouldnt get rid of my evo for one of those. regardless it has an evo 10 motor in it. i myself wouldnt be caught dead in one of those things. dont get me wrong they do look "cool" somewhat but still definetly not

the coupe does has a 4b11T motor in it. why would it be a downgrade? its a totally different car of course. i wouldnt trade in my Evo for it but i think it will hold its own especially once the reflashes are available and more power can be untapped! just remember the EvoX has gone deep into the 10s on a stock setup other than exhaust and intake. now i know that genesis wont have the same turbo but i'm sure it will be pretty good! plus it being RWD should give u an entirely different experience. the Evo has always been a bad *** car but it doesnt mean that no other car no matter the brand cant produce something as equally awesome in their own right.
i cant wait to see them and take one for a spin.

Yes and No.
"Turns out the 4B11T in the Genesis is substantially different than the 4B11T in the Evo/Ralliart. Cheaper and less strength over all. I wouldn't expect it taking Evo power levels until it gets built. It also uses a non-Mitsubishi sourced ECU."
