Whats up guys my best friend just purchased an audi s5. It looks sick and from what he says its suppose to be alot faster than my evo 9. Has anyone raced one of these cars ? I have cams and an exhaust just trying to do some research before we race. Your advice will be appreciated thanks

 

The S5 is a sick cars. Pretty bad *** IMO would be a nice rice

His car is heavier and depending on your mods (your description is vague) you have more power.

Just take it to the track and let us know.

If there are turns, Evo should be faster

 

EVO 9 would beat an s5 in every situation except 80+ stock......

 

that v8 really isnt all that impressive minus the sounds it makes . even now with teh supercharger kits on the rs4 and s4 v8, they still arent as fast as a k04 turbo'd b5 s4

 

your stock Evo IX will be slower, albeit by a hair, in 0-60, and 1/4mile. But if your IX is modded, then you definitely have the advantage. but in general, these 2 are very similar in performance, i.e. it will come down to who launches how, and then who shifts faster!

so dont worry, chances are u will win! just make sure u dont race on the streets

 

+1. the exhaust sounds are insane
but the engines arent as fast to rev up, and peak power is at high rpm. plus, audis are notorious for being heavy, and slow off the line - i know, i just had an S6 (v10), for 2 years!
