If I understand this correctly, your gonna buy a salvage titled ITR, with a civic b16 in it for $9000.

Your on crack if you spend that kinda money on that thing. Not to mention the car was stolen.

BTW...Why would it have a salvage title just because it was stolen? It would have to have been stripped to the point where it was totaled or beat to hell and half assed fixed up.

Do yourself a favor and find something better for your money. 9k is a hell of a down payment on a nice ride.

i think 9000 is a great price for an integra type r.....but then again if you are about to drop 9K on an integra and you already own an OZ why not get a turbo from RRM, drop a sick suspension, get a body kit start to make a project out of your OZ? unless of course you are considering buying another car to race in which case i would tell you to definately go for the integra, but just check the engine as mentioned earlier between the b16 and 18. good luck

they got it back before anything major happened to it, so its in good condition. Just the title sucks. I dont know thou, Integras are kinda boring, i mean so many people have them... I dont really know yet.

the lancer i have is a family one. I dont always drive it, thus i cannot make any mods on it. So i was either gonna get my own lancer, or a mirage, or getting that integra.

definately go for a mirage then! my g/f has one and i think the wide body kit she has is by far the sickest thing ever. it looks great, just throw on a kit, some rims, drop, CAI, tint, and exhaust on that bad boy and its a hot ride. i also like how my g/f's mirage rides except that there is a bit of understeer and the back swings out a little sometimes so i would recommend getting some sway bars which i will be getting my g/f after i put her system in for xmas, but if you have any questions about the mirage i can most likely answer them.....i would definately take my girls mirage over my lancer or an integra anyday and i have only seen one hooked up mirage in NY in addition to my g/f's. good luck with your search for a new car.....

What transmission is in it? The B18C5 isn't exactly God's gift to the automotive world... The ITR is known for its handling because of its stiffened chassis, balanced suspension setup, and its limited slip differential. Go test drive another ITR, and go test drive that one... See if its chassis and suspension is in good shape. You can turn around and sell that B16 in it now, and just drop in an LS/VTEC for cheap.

As far as I know, its the standard transmission that came with the type R is still in it, except for the engine, heres what else it said in the ad,

"everthing else stock!
the car has been well taken care of, always changed oil, did 30k dealer checkup. never had problems with the car. need to sell asap. the title is salvage bec the car got stolen before (before i bought it. the previous owner dropped in a B16A2 into the car. aside the engine being different, the seats r different and the front bumper lights r clear instead of yellow. "

EDIT: oO i think, im just gussing, that it has a B16A2 motor in it instead of a type R one, because it got stolen, so im gussing the seats, and engine got taken. Ill have to write him another e-mail.

I'd say go for a test drive, sounds like it can be made to be a good project if everything else works great.

BTW do you go to IU?
