After seeing the dyno on this Skyline I hope the EVO is under $30k.

I'm geting really tired of waiting for the EVO. If the price comes out and it's over $30K in the US.
Skyline here I come.
After seeing this video
http://exvitermini.com/ go to Movies on an R33.
reminds me of my old MKIV w/ the twin 2835 and711rwhp.
Traction would be a hell of alot better.
I'm thinking of just picking up an R32 from Motorex.

Import your own and have them legalize it for $16k. It'll cost you about 1/2 of what they are asking.
We also offer the ability to convert your existing GT-R to the US's DOT and EPA specifications, making it legal to own and drive your GTR in the States. Cars two years or newer can not be offered for sale in California currently. Please check http://www.arb.ca.gov/html/lawsregs.htm for an explanation.
Year Price
1999-2002 R34 GT-R $25,000
1996-1998 R33 GT-R/ GT-S $25,000
1995 R33 GT-R / GT-S $17,000
1990-1994 R32 GT-R / GT-S $16,000

What would it cost me to import and have you legalize a skyline. For an example R32 because it's lighter.
let just Say a 93-94 for about $8-10k Vspec.
then $16k to legalize it.
That comes out to $26k.
What would you want on top of that to get it done for me.
It will cost the same to get an evo or a Skyline to what I want. Mybe a ittle more for the skyline because it will generate a little more power.

I quoted that from Motorex. That's the cost they will charge if you bring in your own Skyline. http://www.motorex.net/conversion.html

Though the R32 is lighter in weight, i also heard that i is easy to spin out. I like the looks of the R33, but need the electronic LCD display plus the getrag 6 speed tranny. Also, if you buy your own skyline as a used vehicle in japan or hong kong, i'm sure you can find great deals on them. Most of them are heavily modified with upgraded goodies like gtr FMIC, up graded ball bearing turbo's, and the likes. However, on top of the cost of buying a skyline, plus having motorex convert it, you also have to pay for transport of the vehicle. Reason why i know all of this is because i bought a 95 r33 in hong kong for 12,000. And i was ready for motorex to chop me 20g's for the conversion, but then i need to pay for my own shipping and what not, and it's about another 5-9 g's that i do not currently have. So until then, my R33 is at my friends place in Hong Kong, and i'm still saving to have it shipped here.

Buy one in Japan for like $8k and have Motorex rip you off only $16k to legalize it.
