Hell yeah it was. Drove angry this weekend. 4-5s ahead of the rest of the STX field.

Really impressed what Ford did with the v6 mustang. Never thought I'd see myself type those words. The car seems very smooth without being numb as your're changing directions. I love how the camera starts to takeoff as you go faster

It's pretty darn razor sharp. You toss your hands and it move - fast. And you can steer with the rear wheels a good amount too. Biggest difference with my co-drive and I. She has driven RWD in a while (races FWD) and was not used to how the car rotated under throttle as much as I am comfortable with. And to be fair...it is my car. And I am comfortable pushing it past 11/10ths.

I laughed hard when I saw that too.

They've done that one it for a long time. Its more expensive than most clubs like to pay (track and safety) but always has a big run group.

Thats pretty cool, I wish a local club did that, it'd be interesting to try

The local SCCA club has done a few of these events at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit near Tulsa.

They don't do it very often due to the guidelines for a safe autoX have a few rules that make setting up a course on a road course surface difficult/dull.

yeah, i saw a couple spots in the vid where someone could easily end up in the armco if they overcook a corner...

Loosely safe. I had my communicator and offered ride along instruction like I did last year here. I have some 35-40 days on that track. No one took me up on it :shrugs:

That cone in the beginning of the video was mine. Picked it up going WOT into the off-camber back straight.

We had that happen last year. Corvette went into the armco infront of the hump. They changed the design some; which felt faster to me than it was before since I was into 3rd gear over the hump. Then made the off-camber back straight more dangerous by putting the gate on the off-camber and closer to the wall. Most of the spins where there. Or the hairpin since people didn't seem to get more brakes are needed there. Its more or less the basic race line on this track.

Ms. Stig couldn't get the race line out of her head on some parts. I totally tune out the cones in some sections. Like the Ss before the bowl. I'm just running that like I do in Time Trials. Flat and hard.
