It was weird moving to RWD for the first time in competitive driving. I miss the ease and predictability of driving the evo, but the Z06 puts a much bigger smile on my face.

I've never autox'd one, but from driving a Z06 on the street the first thing I noticed was how wide it was to my 350Z (what I had at the time, Evo is pretty similar width) and thought that would be my biggest issue in an autox... have you had any trouble adjusting to the width of the car?

Yes, it was a countryman with the John Cooper Works package. It did not fare too well, but I put that more on the driver than the car. Either way it looked good with the JCW package, and I'm not a big fan of the clubman normally.
I've been auto-xing AWD for 6 years (S4, EvoX). Going from F/I AWD cars to this thing was like learning to drive all over again. I'm so used to point and shoot and not worrying about throttle modulation that I felt like a noob. There is very little room for error in this car, one wrong blip of the throttle and it's sideways. That said, I've never had more fun driving a car. It was a new challenge, and by mid-day I had improved leaps and bounds. The instant torque and super long gearing made it so fun.
Now I just need to get a harness bar, kirkey seat, and enjoy some much needed headroom.
