Work with a guy that has a pont Grand pr and they put in a colder thermostate to produce something? advance timing, moreHP,or just cooler runing motor.
I think it could be all of the above .Not really sure.

hmm, if you dont really know what the thermostat does... i'll try and keep the tech talk to a minimum ... it's a little cone shape gizmo that acts as a gate keeper for your coolant. it lets more or less coolant flow dpending on temps... so no you wouldnt gain HP, no you wouldnt advance timing but yes (i guess) a cooler running engine. no reason to let your motor run at sub zero temps when it runs its best at a certain temp. not too cool not too hot. if you wanna cool anything cool your fuel line and your intake air.
I know what it is, just not the benifits of changing it out for a cooler one. They sell them and people buy them for there car so they must do something good. But thank you for the cone shaped gizmo talk.....................

if something so good was that cheap... i think everyone would get it... it sort of reminds me of that ab thing... where it sends electric pulses to ur abs... and your supposed to get ripped abs... HAHAHAHA... i see that.. there is no easy way for n e thing... u have to work hard at it... well.. there are exceptions to things.. but... after the hard work... u will feel good about urself...
I have a Hypertech chip and a 160 degree thermostat for my Grand Prix. The cooler running engine allows you to run more advanced timing, as the chip is a "stage two." Keep in mind it is a '93, so today's vehicles no longer have plug and play chips, with OBD2 ('96+ I think) you have to pull the whole ECU to get it reprogrammed.
