thats like 99.999% of all cars though...

there was a video posted that he did in this thread, I assumed you saw it and knew his thoughts on it.

edit:
here are the 2 vids. I didn't read the write up yet, I'm thinking it prolly covers everything in the vids, but in case anyone wants to watch them.

My Evo had no oil temp issues when it was stock. It does now, but it makes double the stock HP. The issues with the RDU are extremely disappointing.

well I did say 99.999% of all cars... there are a few that are fine, but most aren't.

It was hyped by Ford as track ready, well, it's not. Don't sell a car with track mode if it can't do it.

I hear what you're saying, but at the same time I'm not all that surprised about the oil temps. The part that gets me is the RDU issues and it switching to FWD when it gets hot. Thats unacceptable to me.

but as far as engine temps, a lot of cars get too hot on the track. E92 M3's are "track ready" cars too, but they need an upgraded radiator and oil cooler to handle track work, and those even have an oil cooler stock.

I'll agree with that. Rad and oil cooler upgrades are prob pretty normal for a lot of car. But the rear diff issue seems highly questionable. And I love how Vorshlag made a point say the driveline gets a small as a finger...that's just crazy.

Its normal mode of operation involves slip to do its function. Great for normal street driving and gas mileage. ...But always slipping and continuous thrashing will surely take its toll. Maybe a big *** cooler can stave it off for track work. But without a regular central diff, it'll be interesting what develops here.

thats nowhere near a good enough excuse. they can't market a car as AWD if its "normal operation" is to be FWD when it decides its too warm.

That's the normal mode of operation for Mitsubishi AYC and ACD They're never fully locked.

You Americaaaans are such a serious lot, don't forget our Evos are born and bread from rally racing of the 90s so what's on them mostly works on the tracks but the Ford is born and bread from YouTube clips and Facebook accounts where the color is more important then wether it can do 20 laps of your local track without overheating. Most will be parked out the front of your local coffee shop by rich kids and their mates while they sip skim cafe latte decafs and surf YouTube clips on their latest samsungs and show each other how it kicks serious buttt driven by some pro racer around nuremburgh or whateverrrr
