Focus RS
This is a joke ....right
If Mitsu came up with a new Evo they may have had similar success. Ford's problem was hype, then underproduce product, then dealership markup....... the latest observation is they are not flying off the shelves.
Oh and I see far more new WRX's on the road today then RS's. Suby is not doing badly.

In my opinion the RS is a hard parkers dream. Its awesome in the blue and that's about it. This car is using the Volvo AWD system and it will take some time for them to workout the bugs and that's if they even do.
I'm a former Focus ST owner and traded my ST in after 16 months of ownership and having 13 warranty issues. In fact my car lived in the service department, lol.
I hope Ford doesn't do what they did with the ST and that ****ed me. Ford changed the suspension on the 2014 models and then changed it again in 2015 models. If you wanted to autox the 2014 model you couldn't do any shock upgrades unless you went to 2013 or 2015 model suspension. If you did make the change you were no longer legal for GS class where the Focus was the platform to have. People getting the first run RS models could face the same problem, but most people don't paly by the rules anyway.
I also wanted to add that Ford in World Rally has had more success with the Fiesta RS than the Focus. This is what I've noticed. In fact Ford had plans to build and produce the Fiesta RS but in the past few months backed out and scrapped the program. The Focus RS might need a lot more RD from what I'm seeing.
If you are keeping up with car news, Volvo has announced it plans on jumping in the AWD Turbo Game. They recently said they have a 2.5L 450 hp car they are building to compete with Ford and Mercedes. Merc has the awesome 2.0T that is a hatch/SUV the is 380 hp screamer and I've seen a few in So Cal already. That is a fast car.

Here too in the tri-state, I'm sure to see at least 1 STi and a handful of newer body WRX's (if we're talking all WRX's then forget about it, I don't have enough body parts to count haha) anytime i go further than the corner store.
I may see an Evo once a month or two
Have yet to see an RS on the road which is to be expected.

GC
Forester
WRX
STi.
They. Are. Everywhere. But for such a low entry price to an AWD turbo car (sans the GC), who can really blame them? At least it's not FWD.

Reason I ask is cause I have a coworker that would complaint about his Ford Escape being an unreliable POS and living in the service department all the time. Then when I finally asked him what was wrong with it, it was mostly the sync system and some other random interior thing... Annoying crap, but nothing that actually mattered
What kinda warranty issues were you having? Serious mechanical issues?

. The splash guards all just collapsed and gave way and they wouldn't replace them. The synch was decent with mine. I drove several others cars and they all seemed faster. In fact one of the employees said my ST was slower than others he had driven. I know I'm leaving some stuff out. It's behind me now. There has never been a production Fiesta RS
"Jumping in"? Volvo has had AWD turbo cars for 15+ years now. The current S60/70 Polestar has 345hp/369tq, AWD and torque vectoring, Ohlins suspension and brembo brakes.
Oh come on now, this is a false statement.
I can think of a bunch of stuff just off the top of my head
- Updated TCU
- Updated TCU programming
- Full color dash screen
- Updated interior plastics
- Updated manifold
- Updated timing chain
- Updated block
That is just off the top of my head

The timing chain issue isn't a big deal to me.
The diff pin issue I thought still existed.
I didn't know about the other changes.
You are thinking the WRC Fiesta R5 and RS, produced by M-Sport to fit FIA R5 regulations.
