did you guys saw this video how the technologies advances. Its an old video but interesting nevertheless. Has the Focus RS in it against the older ford race car etc. the end is just a bonus

But hey, if you want to cherry pick facts.
1/4 mile time is 1/10 of a second and trap speed is 1 mph different. Most people drag race for 1/4 mile not to 110 mph. Thus, the acceleration to me is pretty comparable. The 110 mph difference could be due to driver shifting as the STI's 4th gear ends at 111 MPH (i.e. driver may have shifted gears around 110 mph).
