Focus RS
Sure you are. It's totally believable that you have a genuine interest in this car after spending 180 pages *****ing about every aspect of it, and throwing out ridiculous "arguments" about how it's a ****ty car.
for the record I'm also curious about the same thing and its a legitimate question. if ford claims the intercooler is too efficient, there shouldn't be a reason to upgrade... I'm curious how this will play out in the real world
ok you're starting this BS arguing for no reason again. stop it with the personal attacks

I'm sure that the aftermarket will be able to add more horsepower but the question everyone is waiting for is how much?. From what they've said before, the problem for HP increases might in the AWD system's lack of a permanent center diff. The clutches in the rear diff are constantly slipping to did its job to apportion the power front and back.

So the real question, is how well will the awd system still performs when added hp is only going to the front.

As I heard we don't have to worry about the engine and the transmission.
The rear end sounds more of the problem for tuners and racers. But I am sure Mountune and Cosworth will take care of that. Maybe just a simple cooler will fix the problem of the over heating.
RS was always a race car and tuner car. I don't think that will change. Even though Ford stated the car rear end designed for that stock power level. Which might be an easy fix with a swap of the rear diff to a mechanical one.
The suspension upgrade is a different subject, since as soon as you swap it out for example to Ohlins, how the ECU set ups will work? It will recognize these are not the magnetic suspensions, and just will throw the fault code or do nothing. etc?
The Evo X was almost a same like the RS now, predicted problems etc, and turned out much less problems as was predicted, and very easy to mod. SO I am not worry about the RS.
I think it will be a good tuner and race car. How much and how easy it will be to build the car etc? We don't know yet, so I wouldn't comment on it.

if you get these EPA numbers for the RS , the you picked the wrong car for yourself

I still think the out going version body looks better , mainly because the louvers and the wide body. The new one desperately needs those. Really not a big deal to put louvers on the hood/car and fender extensions, can you hear me Ford?
