Focus RS
Unless someone makes adapters to put something like a hyperco in place where these sit with height adjustability then you're at the mercy of spring lengths offered. There are companies that make larger springs in all the rates and lengths and sized to fit in spring perches like this but you're looking at plus/minus and inch on ride height adjustment (again, unless you have an adjustable perch available).
Another issue is the motion ratio being ~0.60 by the looks of things. This is going to require springs in the 1500lb/in range once you move up to hoosiers or even latest 200tw tires. That's a lot of force coupled between the chassis and control arms.
Coilovers simplify things massively with springs and shocks at the same motion ratio and with height adjustment for spring and shock body all in the same package.
Camaro and Mustang have the same issues on their IRS and it IS an issue for getting enough rear rate right now. Their motion ratio is even worst at 0.5 and finding the right length 2000lb spring wasn't each. They're also something like 30lbs each.

So you want a exhaust dump on a production car? Okay, got it.
*eye roll*
P.S. I'm not going to argue with you around you not wanting a car because of end link location and an exhaust valve. *another eye roll*

about the exhaust valve, its more the type of car... I fully expect to see it on 100k+ cars where most owners will never even lift the hood on except maybe to show off the engine to some buddies. but a car like the FoRS is an enthusiast car... I prefer more enthusiast grade hardware... not saying I want an exhaust dump stock, but I'd prefer no exhaust valve on something like this
and I didn't say "I don't want this car" for those reasons, just pointed out a couple things I don't like about it...
haha.. yes!

I don't get how having an actuated exhaust valve to tune the sound of the exhaust isn't for enthusiast type cars?

Wait until you find out the Focus has the intake sound literally piped into the cabin like the Fiesta/Focus ST. You might just turn into ice cream!
Welcome to 2015. (It's almost over)
I'm all for aftermarket applications of it.. like a dump before the cat, or even just a muffler bypass. but the oem application like this where its 1 exit out of a muffler or 2... where it'll barely make any difference in both performance and sound... I'm not a big fan of

You should check one out sometime. It can be a big difference, depending on design and application. Mercedes does it too. On the AMG models the two modes are quite different.
Again, production car, it's mainly for sound tuning but it does help flow too. I'd rather have one that is louder when I want it and quieter when I don't.
This comment makes me think you haven't had any real world experience with this type of design before.

You need to buy a race car, I think.

I guess I could be wrong, depending on whats going on inside the muffler...

I like it loud at idle, hearing it start outside my window in the morning (I have remote start) actually gives me motivation to go to work
I hate the blue color on this car because I'm ***uming they modeled the hue after a port-a-potty. (speculation)
I hate the blue color on this car because I have an emotional aversion to this hue. (fact)
Why did I come back into this thread...
You keep shifting your stance. So you like actuated exhaust valves when it suits your speculation. Okay. Sounds good!

and in this last post I just said I could be wrong about how much of a difference in sound it makes in this specific application... just cause I said I could be wrong doesn't mean I changed my stance on it... I'm still not a fan...
