Clarkson sacked from Top Gear
Just saw an article that Jeremy has quit Top Gear. I can't believe this happened if the article is accurate. I have watched this show for YEARS and it is my absolute favorite. I don't care about the People who got offended they need to grow up and get over it. I hope that he can pull Hammond and May to start their own show.

Also a huge Top Gear fan as is probably every member of this forum but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it's official yet...it seems every article I've read contradicts the other article so until I hear it from Jeremy himself or the BBC I'm going to stand down.

That sucks if its true, who would replace him, they have such a great dynamic on the show! but you can't always believe what you hear. People love to make up rumors to get the publicity or ratings.
JC, et al, have a contract that expires at the end of the current season. BBC put themselves in a lose-lose position - capitulate or lose the show to another network. It's as if the BBC is run by children. No foresight.

idk, punching or seriously threatening to punch isn't really political correctness. the only reason he wasn't fired on the spot (this would be the case for any work place) is because of how much money he rakes in for BBC. BBC's hands may be tied on this whether they wanna keep him or fire him...
I understand lots of people here are big Clarkson and Top Gear fans, but violence or the threat of violence is a big deal. Which brings me back to my original post in this thread, I'm really curious about what lead up to the incident.

Its very much about political correctness, and CYA. Like Kaj said, scuffles and "fights" used to not be such a big deal...
