saying goodbye, I sold my evo 8.
I have been wanting to post this sooner, but just have been too busy and havent had much time to get on here anymore. I ended up selling my evo recently. The buyer is actually a forum member on here. Funny thing was I wasnt even actively looking to sell it. I happened to respond to a post from someone looking to buy an evo with my similar features and it just went from there. Funny how things happen sometimes I guess.
Honestly, I had my fun with my evo, it was on of the best track cars I ever owned, totally awesome on the track. Thats what makes selling it more difficult, but in the end I think it is time for me to move on. I dont know what track toy I will get next but for now I bought this as
my new daily driver, 2015 Mercedes Benz C300.
--sorry if they uploaded turned all weird.
Car is a great daily. Its loaded with options, heated and cooled seats, Burmester sound system, Heads up Display, AMG package with sport suspension, 2 piece rotors, and agility select, Climate control system has an ionizer and even a fragrance dispenser, lol. Xenon and LED exterior lighting. Panoramic roof, Navi, keyless go, and a host of driving assist functions.
Coming from the evo I feel spoiled with all these features, haha.

sorry to see you go, but its understandable that people will move on.
c300 looks very nice. for long road trips and rainy days, my wife's cla250 is the clear choice, but for everything else, i still prefer subjecting my family to the evo. its always engaging in some way or another. gl.

10k service (flex A), averages about 200-265 depending on where in the USA you may be at.
20k runs close to 400
40k service out the door at our dealer your looking to be about $1200. 2013 model year on up dont have trans service till 70k iirc, so for those cars a 40k will be like about $700 or so
With that said I have prepaid maintenance and Im a tech for Mercedes. I recover some of the costs by getting paid to service and work on our Benzs. My wife has a 2014 glk 250 bluetec diesel.
Thanks everyone. Ya I miss the evo at times but it went to a good place. I was almost gonna get a new evo but local dealers out here have a 10k markup on 2014 evos since that was the last year they were fittted with recaros. Im sorry, but Im not paying their 47k asking price for an evo x. Yup, msrp 37k, plus they all the mitsu dealers out here have a sticker to the side of that with a 10k markup and arent budging to much from that.

Thanks, I hope that during my time here I was able to help folks out with their evo. I always attempted to post non biased reviews and test products out for the sake of improving our community. I got the ball rolling on that thread so folks can still add to whats already been added. Unfortunately I had some issues where alot of great UOAs somehow got deleted on there though.

Aw man...sorry to see another Evo owner switching over to something else. But I feel the same, life changes and so should we.
Love the EVO since I was a kid, Gran Turismo on Playstation 1 ftw!
Feel like I should sell mine too and look for something else.
