Drag racing is a type of motor racing in which automobiles or motorcycles (usually specially prepared for the purpose) compete, usually two at a time, to be first to cross a set finish line. yeah, but the usual stuff is so boring... last time I went drag racing, it was mostly late 60's Camaro's, few other old chevy's, and then some Mustangs (and 99% are autos). just kinda sitting there, oh look, another cookie cutter Camaro that run's 10's... and when something else finally rolls up thats when its finally interesting... If I was into drag racing I'd have either a Civic or a 240 that runs 9's just to be a little different, with a really good muffler... something about a quiet car going really fast at the drag strip. and I don't know, it might be cheaper to build a 9 sec Civic than a 10 sec Camaro...
as far as Japanese people hating us, drag racing was huge in Japan in the 90's to early 2000's... they had some really fast drag cars there too

**edit. And a lot of fun too. We used to run drag radials instead of slicks so we'd have to learn to pedal the car down the track LOL

this is what i think about Drag racing. Everything can made to be fast, so what is a big deal about it? There is almost 0 connection about what the real car can do. Accelerating is only one thing about being fast, and i am not even sure that is the most impressive anyway.
I dont find anything interesting in it, never did. Waste of time, even though its a very little time. lol
